About this deal

The MK7 has a similar feel and look to previous iterations. At 21 pounds, it remains as solid as ever and will absorb all those unwanted vibrations. Furthermore, with a 2.2 kg/cm running torque, it’s an excellent choice for professional DJs and turntablists. This version is limited to 1500 pieces worldwide and has been enhanced with golden elements. An engraved plate with a unique device code makes every RP-7000 MK2 GLD an exclusive collector’s item. In addition, this special edition is supplied with a golden headshell and an exclusively designed slipmat with Reloop signet. The subtle golden elements on the turntable make it a minimal, yet elegant and timeless design. Indeed, the mindset of the majority of people is to keep spending on "new" - of course this is the result of consumerism, marketing, and capitolism. Toggle between Filter, Crush, Flanger, White Noise and customisable user FX via the mode button with RGB indication

As far as NAB standards, I’m afraid I have to laugh. What does NAB have to say about the use of very lossy MP3 files? The vast majority of radio stations load up their automation systems with compressed digital files of dubious audio quality and provenance. Sometimes they rip stuff from YouTube! Good lord. Here I agree with KentT. Better idea to once pay a serious money for a unit and then you don`t have any problems anymore. And also landfills would be smaller if the industry and consumer society decided to go this route. And today when you can find a lot of vintage turntables which were seriously designed and are service friendly it is not hard to decide. Even if you pay too much for a unit it is better to take this route, you will have less problems like with new stuff. Unlike buying more than 1000 eur equipment. They also sound better than any other music station serving this market. And they’re the only station left here still using HD Radio. Three other stations here dropped HD. Yes I know HD Radio uses lossy compression and is hated by DX’ers and old school radio enthusiasts. The comparison was fascinating because I could hear the, as it where, family resemblance. That sense of timing and pace supported by the direct drive motor. Both were swift and sprightly in their underlying rhythms. With the RP-7000 MK2 GLD, Reloop has built a turntable that caters to the high demands of professional DJs and modern nightclubs. With its powerful direct drive motor and rugged construction we were able to develop a sturdy and indestructible turntable that can take on harsh everyday life with ease.

I know for a fact that this happens because three of my friends are DJs at three different stations and they've all told me about it. For those new to the scene, a DVS user is a DJ who uses a digital vinyl system; in other words, using software like Serato through your turntable. This turntable is, in fact, specifically designed for Serato. However, it does work with any MIDI-compatible DJ software. An additional start/stop button has also been integrated to facilitate a vertical setup (battle position) and by using the buttons on the RP-7000 MK2's top panel, you can switch between the three motor speeds (33 1/3, 45 & 78 rpm). Dedicated buttons for forward and reverse mode allow for further creativity in your mix. What does NAB have to say about the use of very lossy MP3 files? Trusted Shops Offering quartz-controlled accuracy, if you turn the platter over, you’ll see some rubber damping while, on the upper part of the plinth, the company has supplied a rubber mat. A dust cover would definitely have been nice for this price, and that surface vinyl light is a quality let-down (only Pioneer DJ, with its appreciably more expensive PLX-1000, seems to have got that Technics-feel light as a feature), but overall if you want pro club-standard turntables, a pair of these will do you just fine without breaking the bank. They deliver both value and quality, which is always a good combination, especially in something as long-lasting and fundamental to the art of DJing as a turntable.

Reason i’m saying all this is that if you are someone who chooses wav’s over mp3’s, valve amplifiers over solid state, etc..then you are probably an ocd cursed/blessed audiophile or you just have more money than sense! If you don’t care about or don’t hear such differences then please go ahead and ignore/abuse my post! Part of the problem is that different users have different expectations. This isn't to say that some products aren't more reliable than others, but those who know how to interpret an unweighted rumble spectrum graph are looking at things differently than someone who simply wants to reliably beatmatch records with reasonable sound quality in their bedroom. For the latter group—namely, most of us—you just want things to work. With a broader pitch adjustment range (up to +/- 50 percent) and a starting torque up to 4.5 kg/cm, it could even be a better choice for scratch masters and turntablist wannabes. However, if you’re looking to make some epic beat-matched mixes of progressive house or minimal techno, for example, perhaps the Technics is a more reliable choice. I don’t see this as an issue, as I never use the pitch control in normal use and were I to spin a 78 (to digitise it for preservation) I would prefer to correct the pitch in software. There’s no target light or storage recess for a 45 centre adapter either, lending the top panel a very clean, uncluttered appearance. The hinged dust cover is almost an exact replica of a Technics besides differences in the hinge design. Were it not for the different hinges the two would be interchangeable. . mode buttons, three layers with 12 performance modes (Hot Cue, Loop Roll, Slicer, Sampler, Pitch Play, Saved Loop, Slicer Loop, Saved Flips, Platter Play, Transport, 2 User Modes) and dual layer parameter buttons per sideThe Reloop 7000 is a *significant* step up in quality from the LP120. Much better motor, better tonearm, damped platter, etc. To equate it to the LP120 is patently ridiculous. Built for the club: Housing design in an even heavier version with additional stiffening through the use of metal, rubber and plastic elements
