Mark Given, chief marketing officer for Sainsbury’s said that both the cards and album have proved "incredibly popular" in the past with children and adults alike.This year’s cards and album echo the retailer's mission, with each of the five unique chapters in the Heroes album focusing on a fundamental element that makes up our world, inspired by the nation’s favourite Disney Heroes: As well as helping keep kids entertained, this year’s cards aim to teach children about different foods and the planet in a fun and engaging way. We’re dedicated to helping everyone eat better, and we hope the cards and album help teach younger generations to look after themselves and the planet.” This Year’s theme is centred on Food and is set to inspire and educate children about different cultures and their food. Sainsbury’s has previously collaborated with Disney to launch the Collectable Cards and Album range. The cards have been hugely popular over the past few years, with children racing to stores to complete their collections. The last year that the Heroes cards were available, over 90 million cards were collected in just six weeks. Chapter Four: Mission Animals - Encourages children to explore and care for our precious animal kingdom and learn about different creatures

I am collecting this years LEGO Trading Cards from Sainsbury’s, and thought it would be good idea if we can help each other complete our collections Meet some hilarious Lego minifigures along the way as Sam and Lily get the lowdown on how to live actively and eat healthily. Their journey takes in many fascinating animals and sights en route. The collectable cards first appeared in store on 28 August 2018 and were offered to customers who spent over a certain amount. The Lego trading cards will stop being issued from 8 October – so there’s not much more time to collect them!
