E decided she wanted to try the moulded crystals as her first experiment so followed activity 8 from the booklet. It slots into the light bulb easily. Now switch on to the rotate setting and watch the images rotate around your room. It makes a slight noise when it rotates but it is not loud enough to distract you. The commentary is slightly loud for my liking, hence I won’t recommend sitting too close to the planetarium. I love that the safety remains a key element of the Chemistry Lab and you are reminded at each stage of any safety tips. The sound is of a man who speaks calmly about the sun, earth and planets. There isn’t any mention of the constellations which is a shame, however it is a soothing voice none the less and perfect as a bedtime wind down.
