I am very impressed by the vapour production that the TFV18 mini can produce along with the consistent flavour! To change the colour theme, simply press the up and down at the same time and you will cycle through the colour options: yellow, red, white and blue. The TFT screen produces really crisp, clean colours and makes it a doddle to read the information. Although the coil states 100-110W best wattage range, I found my sweet spot for this coil at 90W, as my perfect combination of warmth, flavour, and clouds.Battery indicators in the top right corner allow you to see easily when it’s time to change batteries. Ohms, volts and a second counter are easy to read along the bottom of the screen. This is essentially a kit designed for cloud chasers. There is no temperature control which vapers are moving away from as a trend, but what you do have is adjustable wattage and bypass mode to find the right setting for you.

The sliding battery door can be a little stiff but I’d always prefer that over a battery door that you feel may pop open at any minute. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the Smok R-KISS mod, even if I was completely disappointed by the TF Mini V2 tank. If this had come with the mod only then without a doubt, this would be a rave review. The bigger design with the R-Kiss 2 slightly reduces the convenience compared to the previous model, but it’s pretty similar with a fire bar on the side for both. Despite the three year gap between the release of the R Kiss and the new R-Kiss 2 in 2022 from Smok, they both use the same TFV Mini V2 Tank, which has its plus and minus points. What you do get from each mod and tank combo is major cloud production. If you’re a cloud chaser, the Smok R-Kiss range will be right up your street. I really like how this little mod looks. With it’s clean, cuboid shape and basic two colour design, it’s a refreshing change from flashing led lights, obnoxious cut outs and over branding. You will be able to see the current battery levels of your Smok R-Kiss 2 Kit on the digital Full Colour Display screen on the front of the device.

Firing up the A1 coil, I found a comfortable vape around 110 watts. I’ll be honest, I absolutely hated this coil head. Nothing I did in terms of changing the airflow or changing the wattage altered the fact that flavour was terrible. I really like the slide to open top fill mechanism, especially with the addition of the button to make sure it stays closed. The mod is very comfortable to hold and use; the curved corners really help with that despite the mod’s boxy looks. The dimpled texture really helps with grip and makes the mod quite pleasant to grasp. Mini V2 A1 0.17ohm Single Coil (90-140W, Best: 110-130W), Mini V2 A2 0.2ohm Dual Coil (70-120W, Best: 85-105W) and Mini V2 A3 0.15ohm Triple Coil (60-100W, Best: 80-90W). The single and dual mesh coils for this particular tank have been around for a while and we know what to expect - plenty of vapour and some decent flavour. What’s great about the mesh coils with this V2 Mini Tank is the flexibility you have depending on whether you prefer more cloud or flavour. For even more vapour production, vape at a higher wattage using theSmok single mesh coil.
