There are many reasons to like the SVBONY SV105 planetary imaging camera. I like that it’s easy to use and set up. The images were also of considerable quality despite the meager price point.

I already own an 8"SCT and off axis ERF and rear mount filter. as well as a Baader WL filter for the scope. Looking to add only a camera. I also asked SVBony for the SDK and the USB EndPoints descriptions. I was ok for an NDA, but they just gave me the SDK. Flat-field correction works by assuming that when the sensor is evenly illuminated with diffuse, white light, each pixel should contain the same information as every other pixel. With classical vignetting and Pixel vignetting this is not true due to various reasons. Flat field correction uses the information in the average (Master) flat-field to correct mathematically each pixel so that the original assumption is met. We saw this in action when a single flat-field showing bad pixel vignetting was corrected into an evenly illuminated image by flat-field correction. We also saw the correction in action in ordinary images in a video stream.When you do you will get the Connect Equipment Dialog Box shown above. This allows you to connect both the camera and the mount. Press the down arrow (shown arrowed) to go to the camera connect screen. Grant took really nice amazing solar images with his SV105 camera I talked with him last week and he was very kind to make his SV105 using experience in this review. It should be stated here that one does not normally apply a flat-field correction to one of the flat-field images as we have done here; we have done this to show the dramatic effects of flat-field correction on pixel vignetting. Imagine the effect that such flat-field correction will have on lunar images showing similar pixel vignetting. Regarding seeing I have good to excellent seeing here for Solar . I employ higher powers when appropriate in each session . I am fine with the performance of the scope in WL full aperture and 70mm ERF with Daystar ATM.Now that your camera and mount are setup press the button (arrowed) to start the camera. Here is the firmware of SV105 camera. This version firmware only fix the problem of SV105 that slow frame rate at 0.5-1.5 fps. (Note: If you don’t have this problem, please don’t upgrade your SV105 camera).
