About this deal

I loved how the author was able to weave everyone's story together to resolve the story. The only complaints I have are that I wish that more detail was given on Pete Hoffman and his relationship to Glory's family. I also wish there was more information on the Bone girl who survived the fire. Mark Bradley was a high school teacher until a student wrote some mighty graphic descriptions of their love affair in her diary. No one believed her when she said she had made it all up. No charges were filed ... but he lost his job and the respect of the small community where he and his wife lives. His wife is his only saving grace.

Ryn meets her first BONE HOUSES- dead people who don’t die and wonder around the forest at night time- when she was a little child, following secretly her father to the forest without listening his warnings. That day, her faith changed and she started to follow her father’s footsteps, choosing his carrier for herself. (Can you imagine a heroine who buries dead people and uses her axe efficiently to crush the skulls of Bone Houses, yes, you found one, Ryn is unstoppable and merciless!) He has written nine children's books, many of them originally offered to his two sons, Drake and Ross. He is married to Alice Slaikeu Lawhead, also a writer, with whom he has collaborated on some books and articles. They make their home in Oxford, England. I loved every second... so many twists and turns... It is one of those "just one more chapter" type books that end up keeping you up all night,' Reader Reviewer 5 stars The case of the baby found in the lake is a complex and haunting one. Following the discovery, a young woman who Sarah knows, Cora, hands herself into the police. Sarah is really drawn into Cora’s story, and it is so intriguing, as well as heart-breaking. Even though Cora has done something terrible, I found myself really caring for her. You can see that she has been through a lot in her life, so I really wanted to find out what was going to happen to her, and Caroline Mitchell certainly has a few twists up her sleeve. Gary Jensen- Dance coach at Green Bay University, seen conversing with Glory the night of her death by Amy Leigh, a former dance student of Hilary Bradley, referred to as a "creep" by former coworkersMark accompanies his wife and her dance students to Florida for a competition. It's supposed to be a relaxing getaway, but Mark is accosted on the beach by Tresa's younger sister, Glory. When Glory is found dead, a witness is found that saw Mark kissing Glory very late at night. He insists they didn't kiss, and that he didn't kill the girl. Hillary wants to believe him, but she's exhausted from standing by him during the ordeal of the past year. And she's not quite sure he's telling the truth. A teenager murdered. A teacher accused. A secret that won't stay buried... The Bone House is the unforgettable murder mystery by Brian Freeman, author of The Nightbird and The Voice Inside. Sure to enthral fans of James Patterson and David Baldacci. I got so frustrated for Cora. The mum in me wanted to help her and keep her baby safe. The world was totally against this mum, surely everyone deserves a second chance??! Even Sarah at points annoyed me with her attitude to this vulnerable woman. The visual vision of the Bone House is truly chilling, and when an old Priam is pulled from the deep of the lake, with the bones of a baby still inside, it’s the moment that Cora, the new mother, has feared since moving to Slayton. Troy Geier - Glory's boyfriend who follows her like a lapdog, doing what she wants when she wants, the two had an argument the night she was killed.

I want to thank the publisher "Embla Books" and Netgalley for the opportunity to read one of their books and any thoughts or opinions expressed are unbiased and mine alone!Meanwhile, here is a little piece about the old St Cuthbert’s Church, to conclude the matter, with some pictures you may not have seen before. The Bone House by Caroline Mitchell, which is the third installment in the Slayton Thriller series, is a gripping new thriller with the intrigue of psychological and supernatural elements. I have not read the previous books in the series; however, I do believe this written well enough to be read as a standalone book. Trial by the ignorant public just pisses me off to no end. There was a local guy who had his name plastered into the newsfeeds when he was brought in for questioning after being accused by a 15 year old girl for having sexual relations with her. I posted that I hoped she wasn't lying because he was already convicted publicly & that they shouldn't post his info until he was convicted. The hate filled comments that generated were incredible & sad. What happened to due process & innocent until proven guilty?
