About this deal

The main ways of administering the drug are intramuscular (IM) and intravenous (IV). The gluteal region is the best spot to inject IM. Relax your muscle and inject slowly. Here are a couple of tips on how to make injections. Please follow the sterility instructions! What are Cerebrolysin Side Effects?

Neurobiol Aging 28(8):1148–1162. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.neurobiolaging.2006.05.036 Cerebrolysin should be applied only parenterally: intramuscular injection (5ml) or intravenous drip infusion (10ml). The dose and duration depends on the nature and severity of the disease, as well as the patient’s age. It is possible to administer a single dose of 50 ml , but more preferably, a course of treatment – daily injection for 10-20 days. Vascular dementia is a common form of dementia caused by poor blood flow to the brain. There are currently no proven and licenced treatments for vascular dementia. Cerebrolysin is a medicine that is made from pig's brains and given as an injection. In some countries, Cerebrolysin is used as a treatment for vascular dementia. A previous summary from 2013 considered all studies of Cerebrolysin and vascular dementia. A definitive conclusion as to whether Cerebrolysin was beneficial could not be made. Gavrilova SI, Alvarez A (2020) Cerebrolysin in the therapy of mild cognitive impairment and dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease: 30 years of clinical use. Med Res Rev. https://doi.org/10.1002/med.21722 We searched for studies that described the effect of Cerebrolysin in people living with vascular dementia. We searched databases of scientific studies, including resources from countries where Cerebrolysin is commonly used. To be included in our review, the studies had to randomly decide whether people were treated with Cerebrolysin or a comparison. We combined the results of the included studies to estimate the effect of Cerebrolysin. We also assessed how well the studies were conducted and how credible the results were. The evidence is current to May 2019.

A relatively unique discovery about the properties of Cerebrolysin is that it can help to control pain. Research in rats shows that Cerebrolysin can help to reduce pain and other symptoms associated with migraine. Measurement of pro-inflammatory cytokines like TNF-alpha and IL-1B shows that these pain-causing molecules are decreased following administration of Cerebrolysin[19]. These studies were carried out on rat models of chronic migraine, suggesting that Cerebrolysin may be particularly useful in those who suffer the most from these debilitating headaches. Given the difficulty of treating migraines, particularly chronic migraines, this finding represents an important step toward improved well-being for tens of thousands of individuals. The Cochrane review suggests benefit of Cerebrolysin and I see no reason to disagree with this conclusion. The review was high quality, the search was comprehensive including foreign language publications and quality assessment was thorough. Only one study An investigation of a healthcare problem. Cerebrolysis is administered as a daily dose for a different time period depending on the duration and severity of the disease. In a clinical trial, the cognitive function of the patients was assessed after Cerebrolysin administration with the help of different techniques such as arithmetic, recalling, and other abilities. All the assessments determined significant improvement.
