About this deal

A good smash factor for an 8 iron would be anywhere between 1.35 to 1.5. It the method in which the power is transmitted to the ball during impact. It is not merely about the power and speed of the club.

One thing to always consider is that no golfer should disregard accuracy for distance. A balance should always be maintained between both aspects. You need to ensure that you have a correct posture, which means that you need to bend from the hips at the time of grounding the club to the ball. Verify the placement ahead of starting with your swing. At first, the new grip should feel less comfortable and you need to make sure your hands are not twisted to ease the discomfort. In the beginning, a little discomfort is necessary. In between this pressing concern, Colleano (one of Ian Dury's Reasons to be Cheerful, and the tragically fatal victim of a car crash in Birkenhead just 6 years later at the age of 34) regales the squad with the dreams he has regarding the pin up by his bunk. What marks Eight Iron Men out as unusual are the scenes which are given over to these fantasies, as the pin up (played by Mary Castle) comes to life. Castle, the woman once touted as 'the lady who looks more like Hayworth than Hayworth does' is certainly dynamite to look at, though a troubled private life of several marriages, alcohol addiction and violence curtailed her career. None. As far as I can tell, this one doesn't even have a menu, nothing would come up on my player or my computer. One of the most striking things about Eight Iron Men is its use of location. The movie was filmed entirely on location in France, and the bombed-out buildings and rubble-strewn streets lend the film a remarkable sense of authenticity. The filmmakers clearly had a limited budget, but they make the most of what they have, creating a claustrophobic and tense atmosphere that never feels false or artificial.

Can't recall when I've seen a better war picture. I've seen lots of them with more action, as this is mainly a talking picture, but this one features extraordinarily good acting performances from the entire cast. Especially good was Bonar Colleano, who is the central figure in the story. He is the Wise-Guy-From-The-Bronx, a character movie directors and writers liked to insert into their work, and Colleano makes the most of his star turn. The ideal spin rate for an 8- iron is 8,000rpm. This number is a thousand times more than that of the club. The magnitude of spin produced on a golf ball instantly after an impact is known as the spin rate. The spin rate has a great impact on the height and distance of a shot. An important point to remember is that a large amount of spin is produced so that the ball does not bounce away at the precise angle of the loft. This should be done to avoid the ball getting squeezed downwards or lower than required. On the other hand, if a driver is at an 8˚ launch angle, it most probably would launch higher as per the purpose of their design.

The pacing of the film is deliberate, with long stretches of quiet dialogue and introspection interspersed with sudden moments of violence and danger. This slow-burn approach may not suit everyone's tastes, but it adds to the film's sense of authenticity and allows the characters to develop in a natural and organic way. The film does an excellent job of exploring the camaraderie that often arises among soldiers who are forced to rely on each other in life or death situations. The characters are well-drawn, and each one has his own quirks and flaws, which makes them feel like real people. The performances are uniformly excellent, with Marvin standing out as the tough-as-nails sergeant who takes charge of the group.

All golfers take up to 14 clubs in their bags that vary from drivers to wedges. The degree of the loft directly dominates the aerial flight and distance of shots. The ball moves further with a lesser loft while an elevated loft lifts the ball in the air with additional spin. But, with all of this going for it, the recipe fails. It's like the fruitcake that is a focal point in this film - great ingredients by themselves, but put together are often not edible. We find this beat up group jammed in a cellar while one of them is pinned down in a foxhole by a German machine gun. The squad is told they will be pulled off the line and they have to decide if or how they are going to rescue their buddy. Each squad member faces his own moment of truth. Some show bravery, some cowardice, some indecision, and one is just trigger happy and about ready to go over the edge.Despite its subject matter, Eight Iron Men is not a war film in the traditional sense. There are no epic battle scenes or grandiose speeches about patriotism. Instead, the movie is a character-driven drama about ordinary men who find themselves in an extraordinary situation. It is a thoughtful meditation on the human cost of war that avoids the sentimentality and jingoism that often plague films of this type.
