The circular design means no squaring up is required, adding to the already simple installation procedure.The Airflow iCON 15 is designed to provide ventilation levels that comply with the latest Building Regulations. The iCON fan is an efficient, stylish and unique ventilation solution for the modern home. The shutter design makes switching on and off almost silent and helps reduce external noise ingress. The iCON 15 is supplied for remote switching. Matching the required control functions (pull cord, timer, humidity, PIR, two speed) to the installation, simply means plugging in an interchangeable module into the iCON15 fan. Ensure that flexible duct connections are not over tightened to the spigots. To maximise the air flow, rigid ducting should be used where possible. The fan and ducting should be installed in accordance with the requirements of the Domestic Ventilation Compliance Guide, part of Part F of the Building Regulations. The iCONsmart 15 is IPX5 rated and therefore it is suitable for mounting in bathrooms (in zone 1 and 2). A range of installable modules are available to allow customisation of activation options. For fans mounted in zones 1 & 2 as defined in BS 7671:2018, additional protection must be provided by a Residual Current Device (RCD) not exceeding 30mA as well as having an Arc Fault Detection Device (AFDD). The icon 72683501 is mains voltage(240v) IPX4 rated and is suitable for installation into zone 3 of a bathroom or toilet. It may be flush mounted in either the wall or ceiling and with a low profile fascia, sits unobtrusively in any room. The model above is for basic on/off switching. Choose an optional control module to upgrade fan for Pullcord, Timer, Humidity or Motion Sensing operation. Position the fan so cable entry and fitting holes align with those on the mounting surface. Feed through the cable and fit the fan. (Fig. 6)

To replace the IPX cover, line up the L (Left) and R (Right) indicators on the main body of the fan (Fig. 6) with the L and R indicator on the IPX cover (Fig. 7). Lightly press the IPX cover onto the main body. iCONsmart has several features included as standard and can also be fitted with digital micro modules to give a range of extra control options. Standard Features Do not place the fan near any direct heat sources, e.g. radiant heaters, or where the ambient temperature can exceed 40°C (104°F).
