About this deal

Macragge Blue– Macragge Blue is a bright blue paint that can be used as a split-complementary color to the Karak Stone. This blue hue can be used to add coolness and energy to the stone, and is perfect for highlighting and accenting specific areas. I’m aiming for a degree of realism with this model, and that goes for the skeletons too. To achieve this, I needed to think about how a body might look if it had been strung up and left in the elements until only the bones remained. That meant looking at a lot of reference images of ancient mummies, desiccated corpses and other such unpleasant things. The final look achieved using the process set out in this tutorial is the culmination of that macabre research. I airbrush Citadel Mephiston Red as a highlight. You can do this with a brush but this is why you buy an airbrush because it’s so much simpler with one. Glaze all over with extremely thinned Guilliman Blue, about 1:4 glaze to Lahmian Medium (I understand this is an OOP color, Talassar Blue from the Contrast range would work as well, but probably thinned 1:6 due to the stronger color) The key here is to leave a good area flat area for your models to stand on, then some interesting shapes as required.

http://www.wargamesfoundry.com - also do a range of similar to Citadel paints, will update when can get chance. http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?s=c770bc029dd218be5d17fff14fecefeb&showtopic=17678&st=0&p=266494&#entry266494 Al-Karak fell within the Crusader lordship of Oultrejourdain, the lands east of the River Jordan and the Dead Sea. In 1132, King Fulk of Jerusalem made Pagan the Butler Lord of Montreal and Oultrejourdain. Pagan made his headquarters at al-Karak, where he built a castle on a hill called by the Crusaders Petra Deserti - The Stone of the Desert. [7] His castle, much modified, dominates the town to this day. One estimate of the population of the town and the surrounding area at this time gives a total of 10,000. Of these, 8000 were Muslims and 2,000 were Orthodox Christians whose Church, St George, had been built in 1849. The Latin Mission was established in 1874 and in 1886 Al Majali gave permission to the English Mission to work in the town. [20] The town's Orthodox school had 120 boys and 60 girls. The same source notes that the town's Mufti had been educated in Hebron and al Azhar, Cairo, and that there was a newly built mosque. [19] Merchants from Damascus came to the town twice each year. [21] Karak revolt and Arab Revolt [ edit ]Step 6 – Drybrush Tyrant Skull. Tread carefully with this, as too much will stand out. Get some Tyrant Skull on your brush, wipe the vast majority off, and drybrush the base (including the stones) only until you just start seeing the paint become visible, and then immediately stop for that area. This will likely only happen after a couple strokes. Add a little Tallarn Sand to the Steel Legion Drab and layer up, leaving the darker tan in the recesses

Caracalla has more accents than most custodes, but I’ll go through an abbreviated method for all of them: At this point I could start painting by hand, generally working from the inside out. These are the recipes I used for the various different areas. Unless otherwise noted, my washes cover the entire basecoat area, and highlights are all edges. Brass Armor Disclaimer** I will be eventually basing all of my Cursed City on 3D printed bases so the current bases are “temporary”… but if anyone asks, it’s snowing in the decaying city of Ulfenkarn. The Karak revolt erupted on 4 December 1910 [22] as the governor of Damascus attempted to apply the same measures of conscription, taxation, and disarmament to the inhabitants of Al-Karak that previously provoked the Hauran Druze Rebellion. [23] The uprising ended with an indiscriminate massacre perpetrated by the governor's troops. [24]Final highlight the bottom-right of the jewel with an even smaller layer of Baharroth Blue mixed with White. At this point, the marine is finished and you can base it however you like. If you want to see how to get started with making a realistic Ice Base, See my Ice Basing Tutorial.

Good job. We are already succeeding. This is going to be great, I can tell. STEP TWO: APPLY SPAK WITH RIGHTEOUS FORCE

TheChirurgeon’s Method

Highlight almost all the gold with Scale 75 Dwarven Gold, leaving the Necro Gold in just the recesses. Again, highlight with a brown, only this time use Citadel Balor brown. Again, highlight even less of the armour Gradually add Rhinox Hide to Rakarth Flesh a tiny bit at a time until you have a fairly smooth blend 3/4 of the way up the antlers
