About this deal

Tough Solar (CASIO’s original solar-charging system converts not only sunlight but also light from fluorescent lamps and other sources into power) I agree with you that wearability and the finish on it is fantastic. I find the contrast of the shine of the metal to the dark color of the resin to be very striking rather than a mash of different tones of silver and steel steel that this model could have ended up with. The contrast of that dark resin and steel coloring is really, really nice and gives the watch character, and coupled with the finish and the angles on the watch, definitely makes it very good looking.

The MTGB1000VL reproduces the frightening yet beautiful blue, purple, and gold colors of the lightning caused by a volcanic eruption with a rainbow ion-plated bezel and a multi-colored dial. The rainbow-colored bezel finished with ion plating is overlaid with the image of the rare atmospheric phenomenon of volcanic lightning, which produces subtle differences in coloring that allow each wearer to enjoy their own unique glow. The MTGB1000VL is also the first MT-G series model to use a semi-translucent red soft urethane material for the band—to represent the aggression of magma bubbling up—rendering a distinct image of power on the wrist. Even my MRG doesn't have that, nor does the b3000 (although the center link on the b3000 does have 5 facets, while the b2000 has 4 excluding that edge). All values stated are approximate., Approximately 19 months on rechargeable battery (operation period when stored in total darkness with the power save function on after full charge) About the Watch Design. Introducing the MTG-B1000TJ-1AER, a Tai Chi inspired model reflecting the Chinese cosmological concept for the flux of yin and yang. This limited edition timepiece is designed by Chen Yingjie, a Chinese artist influenced by both oriental ink painting and western street art.

All MTG watches utilise solar power, with up to two years power reserve, meaning your battery change worries will be a thing of the past.

Reviews

The camouflage detail is complemented with gold accents visible across the analogue dial as well as gold coloured buttons and crown. Multi-Band 6: Automatic Atomic Time updates are received overnight for exceptional accuracy (UK/ EU/ USA/ Japan/ China: home city must be set manually)

Indices are the same across all 3 b models in terms of quality. All polished and cut nicely, and stand up under a loupe fairly well. As for hands...I've always found Casio very weak in this department across the board, whether it be a high end MTG or MRG or Oceanus, although I will say the b2000 and b3000 hold up much better under a loupe than the b1000. Then again, does it really matter how they hold up under high magnification? Not to me all that much, but it is something to mention. What bothers me is the same issue I had with the 2000; why have a mechanism to easily change the bands if you don’t have the bands readily available? The mechanism for changing the bands on the 3000 model is even easier than what was on the 2000 model yet sourcing the pieces to complete a band is a giant pain in the ass. It should not be this difficult to get a replacement part, especially when Casio is advertising swapping the bands as a highlighted feature of this watch. To be fair, at the end of the day the MRG case is without a doubt finished to a higher degree. It has the most complex case of any watch I own (yes, including my Grand Seikos even with a 44gs case) and the most impressive finishing, but I found that little bit of detail interesting. The details on the MRG are just incredible in my opinion (I'll post a pic of the multifaceted crown guards to help illustrate how insane it is), but still, you really are about 85-90% there with the b2000. Signal Range: Up to 2m (may differ depending on surrounding conditions), The watch can be wirelessly connected to a compatible smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. The energy-saving technology enables access to a host of functions., The watch will automatically synchronise it's time when connected to a compatible smartphoneAs promised, crown guard pics between the 3 that I think really demonstrate the commitment to details. Smart Access makes it easy to operate multi-function watches. Simply pulling out and rotating the crown provides intuitive control over all functions. The watch also offers various timekeeping functions, such as automatic time zone adjustments and multi-band atomic timekeeping, ensuring accurate and reliable timekeeping wherever you are. It includes a chronograph for measuring elapsed time and a daily alarm feature to help you stay on schedule. I posted the crown guards photo to display the level Casio goes to in finishing and in all honesty, the photo is terrible hahaha. I don't do Casio justice. The crown guards actually have 7 facets and the crispness holds up under a loupe. My MRG really did blow my mind and in terms of case finishing, still stands as the standard bearer. Radio-controlled Watch; Multi band 6 (additional way for time sync. This watch receives time calibration radio signals that keep the displayed time accurate)
