No blending between frames. It's really easy to catch reg plates with this. Even though the quality is far worse than the HS Drift HD170 I have on the front, it's miles better at getting plates.
It will not work as a web-cam on Windows 7 Starter. No work-around exists. It will not work. I did not buy it for that, but tested it, researched why it failed, and learned there is nothing to be done about it. For what it is worth, it seems to be a Microsoft problem. The sound activation makes it useful to watch over your house when you are away, it claims, not tested, to run for 250 hours on standby. I always look at the "properties" (Windows) of the device to make sure it does not require formatting before disconnecting (see #4 above); otherwise, I may have only about 40% of the card space available. I should note that the time it takes to charge (2 hours) means that any upload time less than that for a full card is really not an issue unless I am anxious to view the video. While a waterproof camera isn’t essential — unless you’re planning on going swimming with your horse — opting for a camera that’s waterproof or comes with a waterproof case is a good idea. Upload date-stamps via sub-folder name (but not files-- the device does not know what time it is) based upon the day of upload. I know people have reviewed this camera saying that it's poor in the night. It's far from a great picture. But compared to other camera in this price range it still does a good job, even if the picture has softer edges etc, that's to be expected as the exposure goes up. I can still get license plates from the footage at night which is more than can be said for the expensive Drift HD camera! (which is poor at night despite night mode and with the wide lens makes plates hard to read unless really close up). It does feel heavy'ish, but seems to sit fine. If you want volume it must be turned on, and it will stop recording when there is no noise of voices. So you end up with multiple videos from one outing. I've yet to try recording with volume off.It is solid-- metal case, enough heft to be ergonomic and light enough not to notice when carrying-- the deceptively fragile-looking clip accessory is of heroic strength.

This sports camera comes features a 170° wide-angle lens so you can capture a wider angle without losing any detail. So far battery life seems okay but I haven't had it long enough to know if it begins to drop off with use.
