So far, so good; Roombas have passed the test of time, something ECOVACS is yet to do. One reason for this is that Roombas have been around for longer. Their latest models, Roomba S9, i7, and j7, have the revolutionary VSLAM navigation that uses a real-time camera. To be fair, the water tank is not huge, but it is permanently fitted to the robot. There is no faffing around changing the tanks over when you want to wash the floor -- unlike other models I have tried. The station for X1 Plus is auto-emptying only and has a 3.2 L sealed dust bag for dust collection for 60 days. I do like the fact that the Deebot maps the area that it has cleaned and saves this map for accurate cleaning. The app has several features such as scheduling, mapping, and a log showing how long the accessories have been used for.

Unfortunately, the delivery scope doesn’t include a reusable mop. It only comes with disposable mops.The ECOVACS Deebot Ozmo 920 has a battery capacity of 3200 milliampere hours, allowing for extended usage. The robot has a low noise level of 66 dB, ensuring quiet operation while cleaning. With a dust capacity of 0.43 liters, the product can collect a significant amount of debris before needing to be emptied. The robot vacuum cleaner is capable of both dry vacuuming and wet mopping, providing comprehensive cleaning results.

The unit decided to restart with the charging at 90% complete, not full, which meant that the door to the theatre was not open when it started, so it skipped that room entirely, and the because the doors to three rooms it had previously cleaned were closed when it restarted, it decided not to label them at all so they cannot be scheduled in "area" cleans, there is simply no way to label them. Most vacuum cleaners will do a good job on light pile carpets, but when it gets to the dense carpet, only the best pass the test. Here, our best choice for carpets is X1 Family.

My only problem with this, and other mopping robots, is that the mop is essentially a washcloth affixed to the bottom of the vacuum. The Deebot Ozmo 920's mopping feature has an innovative electronic pump that comes with a washable, and reusable, mopping cloth that enables the user to choose which mopping attachment best fits their cleaning needs. If you are on a tight budget, these two Chinese models are the best. They offer very cheap and reliable robot vacuums. One thing that makes them similar is that they both have a mopping function. Choosing the best brand between ILIFE and ECOVACS is easy, as Deebot now produces more smart robots on the market.

CHOICE verdict

Another great feature of these models is that they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. You can choose modes for dry vacuuming or wet vacuuming. The electric water pump ensures four water flow levels without over-wetting the floors (low, medium, high, and super high). The ultrasonic sensor automatically detects carpets and rugs to prevent their drenching and increases suction power for dry vacuuming. The N8 Pro and N8 Pro+ also have four suction modes for dry vacuuming: Quiet (200 Pa), Standard (600 Pa), Max (1500 Pa), and Max+ (2300 Pa). Automatic auto-boost suction raises the suction power to 2600 Pa for N7, N8 and N8 Pro+, and up to 3800 Pa for N10 Plus. Here, I will front the Deebot T10 and T20 OMNI and all X series, which run for over 260 minutes.
