Jobson said: "I’m super excited to be taking the lead in this amazing psychological thriller, based on Louise Doughty’s phenomenal best-selling novel. I’m also thrilled that I get to show audiences a completely different side to what I can do on screen with this character." The drama is a haunting thriller following central character Lisa who, after witnessing a cataclysmic event on platform7of a railway station, finds her own fragmented memory jogged to reveal a connection between her own life and that of the event she has just witnessed.Supernatural elements combine withcontemporary realismin this chilling drama." Platform 7 cast - who's in it?

This is an unnerving, chilling and deeply unsettling novel from Louise Doughty, a literary blend of haunting ghost story and thriller revolving around two suicides that take place on the eponymous Platform Seven at Peterborough Station. In the very early hours of a bitterly cold November morning, a man makes his way to an isolated part of the station, far from any member of staff, thinking himself entirely alone as he walks purposefully to the edge of the platform. He is not alone, he is closely observed by the ghost of Lisa Evans, a secondary school teacher, but she is unable to intervene and prevent the tragedy that ensues. Unusually, the story is narrated by Lisa's ghost. Recent television adaptations of Louise Doughty’s work include Apple Tree Yard. She has also written the original drama and Crossfire which is also produced by Dancing Ledge Productions.

Platform 7 release date

Platform 7 will be an ITVX premiere, exclusive to ITV’s new free streaming service, many months ahead of linear transmission on ITV main channel. This is the 2nd death on Platform Seven in 18 months and Lisa was the first of the two who died. She feels these deaths are somehow connected. Dancing Ledge Productions is one of the UK’s leading production companies creating; bold, authored, award-winning drama and nurturing future generations of creative talent. Run by multi BAFTA award-winning CEO Laurence Bowen and Emmy award-winning Managing Director Chris Carey, the company’s most recent productions include: The Responder starring; Martin Freeman and The Salisbury Poisonings starring; Anne-Marie Duff, Annabel Scholey and Rafe Spall.

Jasmine Jobson (Top Boy, Noughts and Crosses) will take the lead role of Lisa in gripping psychological thriller, Platform 7 which will air on ITVX. Overall, I was disappointed by this book because of the strong start and high potential it had but ultimately it let me down. Adapted by BAFTA and international emmy award-winning screenwriter Paula Milne from the bestselling novel by Louise Doughty One of the least successful aspects of this book is that it tries, and doesn't really succeed, in combining two different genres and concepts together. The 4x60” series will be adapted by acclaimed and multi award-winning screenwriter Paula Milne (Him, The Politician’s Husband, White Heat) from the globally renowned bestselling novel of the same title by Louise Doughty.Jasmine, most recently known for her Bafta-nominated role as Jaq in Top Boy, will be joined by Toby Regbo as Matt (Chivalry, A Discovery of Witches) Yaamin Chowdhury (The Lazarus Project, The Essex Serpent) as Akash and Phil Davis as Edward (Trying, Viewpoint). As the narrative slowly progresses ghost-Lisa seems increasingly incongruous. Although she initially stresses that she is a mere consciousness with no links to her past, she can also 'see', 'float', and move her human-shaped-ghost-body. This is no traditional ‘spooky’ ghost story. It’s the tale of a ghost on a quest to discover who she was and the events that led to her untimely death. Her story is a celebration of indignation versus passivity and truth versus lies. While writing it from Louise Doughty’s astute and emotionally intelligent novel, I began to feel she’s the ghost in all of us; the unseen part of us when we find ourselves reflecting on the wisdom of our past decisions. Sometimes with regret, occasionally with rancour but more often with the complicated relish of what it means to be human.” Since when did doughnuts come in so many flavours; lemon icing, raspberry icing, salted caramel icing? It isn’t just the doughnuts. I traverse the aisles. Ice cream sauce comes in creamy fudge flavour, Belgian chocolate flavour, raspberry coulis flavour and – my favourite – Alphonso mango, passion fruit and yuzu. What is a yuzu? Is an Alphonso mango significantly different from any other kind of mango […] then I go and confirm my suspicions about carrots: they are, of course, even more orange than I remember […] on my way out, I drift along the salad bar, glancing into the tubs of salad one by one, wondering why so many of them contain kidney beans.”

Screenwriter Paula Milne adds... “This is no traditional ‘spooky’ ghost story. It is told from a unique perspective and the writing is quite interesting but the book goes on a bit of tangent and ends up being like any other thriller. It was quite a drag to get to in the end Darren focused on person-centred care, knowing that each person reacts differently to being in hospital and has different personal concerns. He also knows that their understanding and responses to care is different and that he needs to provide cognitive, behavioural, and mental health care as well as the physical care required. He also needed to understand the cause of Annie’s confusion. I’m super excited to be taking the lead in this amazing psychological thriller, based on Louise Doughty’s phenomenal best-selling novel. I’m also thrilled that I get to show audiences a completely different side to what I can do on screen with this character.”Darren demonstrated in all aspects of the care that he was involved the ability to adhere to the Code, and clearly identified the Duty of Candour. He also had to think critically and used an array of evidence to draw conclusions and actions about the care he provided. Through coaching, offer suggestions for Darren to link his learning of effective leadership and different styles to those nurses who would normally co-ordinate the ward.
