The Level 5 certificate in Nursing Studies prepares the learner for work in a variety of health care settings and further studies in nursing. While often serving as a pre-nursing course for those who don't yet have the qualifications to get into third-level education, it is a qualification in its own right where participants are introduced to a wide variety of nursing and health modules along with a work placement, during which they will have the opportunity to work in a setting of their choice under supervision.
