About this deal

At the moment I will still tweak it, but not fully as that will be done when the scaffolding comes down.

Customise the motion zone based on your preferences. Decide where the RLC-820A will detect movements of objects and where it will not. Multiple Recording Options This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. I don’t want to get too much into the recording aspect or stream quality settings as I will cover those in a future post. I will be looking to manage these under some other software, but I did want to get these into Home-Assistant. There are several ways of doing this, with snippets of code and integrations. some are more difficult than others. Fortunately for us, someone has already written a very nice integration for us which takes away all the pain!

Set Up:

The 18 infrared lights also worked like Reolink claimed, allowing the RLC-820A to deliver high-quality images at night. It gave us a view of up to 30m, and we could see every detail visible in daytime shots. Aside from that, there was minimal noise, thanks to the 3D-DNR technology. Time-lapse can record and shorten long-term events like sunrise, blooming flowers, city scenes, and construction projects. Faster, Simplified & Lower-cost Installation with PoE Technology

The IR seems more spread out on the 820A, but brighter and more centered on the 833A. Which makes sense, due to the 833A having 2 IR LEDs vs the 820A having 18. This also isn't a great example location since the center of the frame is pointed at the ground.... would be interesting to see it when pointed more outward horizontally, but I'm not doing that much work lol. The left and right cameras are just to see what's happening in the street, I have one more camera above the front door which covers my very small garden, but that gives a birds eye view, so not good for DORI. When we played the recorded footage, we were surprised that it captured the fine details in high definition. The image quality was crystal-clear and impressive. Plus, we did not notice anything low-quality since the files were not software-compressed. This product performed excellently, and we love its unique features like people and vehicle detection, plus multiple recording options. What makes it better is it does not send unwanted alerts since it does not detect objects. Did you ever figure out the problem / solution here? My issue sounds identical to yours. I am about a day away from returning three of these Reolink cameras for something else (Hikvision DS-2CD2386G2?). See my post here: viewtopic.php?f=187&t=160887No, never did sort it out, changed all cameras to hikvision, best thing I did, no issues at all, and amazing quality footage.Remember, your router should be a PoE-enabled type with Ethernet ports to use with the camera. If your current router is not PoE-enabled, you do not have to worry about it. At present, you can save clips to a micro SD card (up to 256GB) or FTP server. Or connect this camera to Reolink NVR to have 24/7continuous recordings. Drill holes on the ceiling according to the mounting hole template and screw the mounting plate firmly. Reolink RLC-820A is equipped with on-device detection technology to discern people, vehicles, and pets* from other objects. With its accurate detection, you can keep a sharper eye on the true threats and release your mind from the bombardment of unnecessary notifications. Specs

The RLC-820A is compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa for hands-free voice control. Once you speak, Google will show the video on Google Nest Hub or Chromecast-enabled TVs. For Alexa, it will play on Echo Show, Echo Spot, or Fire TV. Specifications PoE means Power over Ethernet, allowing the power supply via network cable. So, connect it to the provided network cable before linking it to your router. The wide field of view of the 2.8mm lens means the DORI distance is probably about 2m - though I've not done the calculations. Yes, it can. And it can also be powered on by a PoE switch, DC adapter or PoE NVR. For more details, please refer to How to Power on Reolink PoE CamerasYou will not need an adapter or power cable when installing the RLC-820A. This camera uses PoE technology to transmit data and power simultaneously via a single network cable. With less wiring, you will spend less, and installation becomes more convenient. Remote Access, Control, and Live View Reolink products have always been famous for exceptional picture & video quality, and the company did not fail with the RLC-820A. It records high-definition footage and captures the tiniest details day and night. Reolink RLC-820A 4K PoE Camera Review Summary Originally the exposure was set 1/3, which is the default setting, and when I looked at the footage I was wow that looks amazing. Then I noticed the ghostly figures on movement, so I increased the exposure.
