The 18 infrared lights also worked like Reolink claimed, allowing the RLC-820A to deliver high-quality images at night. The IR seems more spread out on the 820A, but brighter and more centered on the 833A. Which makes sense, due to the 833A having 2 IR LEDs vs the 820A having 18. This also isn't a great example location since the center of the frame is pointed at the ground.... would be interesting to see it when pointed more outward horizontally, but I'm not doing that much work lol. The left and right cameras are just to see what's happening in the street, I have one more camera above the front door which covers my very small garden, but that gives a birds eye view, so not good for DORI. When we played the recorded footage, we were surprised that it captured the fine details in high definition. The image quality was crystal-clear and impressive. Plus, we did not notice anything low-quality since the files were not software-compressed. This product performed excellently, and we love its unique features like people and vehicle detection, plus multiple recording options. What makes it better is it does not send unwanted alerts since it does not detect objects. Did you ever figure out the problem / solution here? My issue sounds identical to yours. If your current router is not PoE-enabled, you do not have to worry about it. At present, you can save clips to a micro SD card (up to 256GB) or FTP server. Or connect this camera to Reolink NVR to have 24/7continuous recordings. Drill holes on the ceiling according to the mounting hole template and screw the mounting plate firmly. The RLC-820A is compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa for hands-free voice control. Once you speak, Google will show the video on Google Nest Hub or Chromecast-enabled TVs.
