A much better choice would have been L-Citrulline which is a much more effective vasodilator. The optimal dose appears to be 0.15g/kg of body weight taken about an hour before exercise. For someone weighing 175lb, this works out to be around 12g of arginine. This product is not a sole source of nutrition and should be used in conjunction with an appropriate physical training or exercise programme. Not suitable for children under 15 years of age or pregnant women. Should only be used under medical or dietetic supervision.There have been suggestions that it can work as a vasodilator, improving your blood flow, but there is nothing conclusive as yet.

Pre workout drinks or supplements basically give you energy to have great workouts in the gym. They usually have a combination of caffeine and other energy boosters that charge you up for working out (typically for lifting weights) and claim that you’ll be stronger than you would be without it. I’m not a doctor but I can’t find much evidence of there being major health risks associated with C4 original. It only has a pretty mild amount of caffeine (a little more than a cup of coffee). I would be extremely cautious double or triple dosing it (or more) because the ingredients can really pile up that way. This can be very distracting and annoying if you are trying to focus on your workout. If you workout 5 to 6 times a week do you really want this every time?There is not a lot of scientific evidence yet to confirm or deny the functional use of Vitamin C prior to working out, and the doses used were around 1000mg. The first thing I noticed is that the longevity of the effects was much greater than with an energy drink and I felt very focused through the 3-4 hours of my sessions. From there, I was also pretty awake when I got home and for another few hours afterwards. Arginine is most commonly studied and proven effective in the realms of cardiovascular health and erectile dysfunction.
