About this deal

I only disapprove that the fragrance has been copied so many times and is now commonly used in detergents, home fragrance and other industrial uses, making it cheap (but it's also a demonstration of the great popularity and appreciation this combination of notes had among the main public). A timeless and luxurious composition of flowers, citrus and soft woods, it holds the promise of lasting love. The signature scent of an all-out romantic, Eternity Eau de Parfum for women by Calvin Klein transitions beautifully from day to evening. A hymn to love, Eternity opens with notes of mandarin and freesia then delivers a bouquet of beautiful flowers: lily of the valley, violet and spicy carnation. Gentle sandalwood lingers in the dry down.

Romantic down to the last detail, the bottle's silver accents symbolize enduring affection, while the white and silver box evokes purity of heart. I can appreciate the quality of it though and can see why it's a favourite for lots of you. It'd probably smell lovely on someone else. It just comes down to it not being my style. There is something comforting about it though, and it's strong, I can smell it for ages after spraying my room. I see a beautiful, flower adorned swinging bench in a clearing in a dense and beautiful forest with a slight refreshing breeze carrying this fragrance in the air. I am not good at naming notes and that is also confusing to me, but I can describe it as if you imagine you're sniffing Eternity, with tuberose on top and about 10%-15%, if not 20, of JPG Scandal (the warm honey core). It's beautifully balanced as in you can immediately feel it as sweet, but can't detect sugar or patchouli. Honey as in a honeyed echo, not the scent itself.

To me it is very similar to 5th Avenue, but much sweeter, and has almost 0 citrusy notes from the orange blossom flower. EternityforHerFresh. Free-spirited. Romantic. Eternal. ETERNITY Eau Fresh for her pairs watery florals with juicy fruits in a modern reimagining of the iconic ETERNITY. Once it rounds out a bit, that sharpness becomes more of a soapy, powdery overtone. It reminds me kind of like a bar of Dove soap mixed with dried rosebuds and lilies. If you're sniffing it from far away the melange becomes kind of a citrus, though it is mostly synthetic soap and patchouli to me. The bitterness that hits in the opening sort of lingers though, which I guess is supposed to be the "soft spiciness" of it. This is flowery but sweet and sexy, I could say this might even belong in the same category as Si and the likes. However it does not smell of incense, it does not smell 'fresh' like laundry, it is not generic like Miss Dior and Coco Mademoiselle, or sweet like Britney Spears/ Paris Hilton, or whatever other fragrance du jour people like wearing. I can’t believe that I slept on Eternity all this time. I guess that it just became too commonplace after the 80’s for a lot of us 90’s kids. For millennials, it’s safe to say that we all knew someone who wore this. Whether it was your mother, sister, aunt, teacher, neighbor, etc. You absolutely encountered someone somewhere that wore this when it was really popular. And for the people who wore the original formulation at the height of its popularity, this has left some residual impression on your soul and you undoubtedly have so many memories attached to this fragrance. It is that memorable, like the Seinfeld finale episode. I have just started building my collection so when a lot of people kept recommending Eternity as a standout enduring favorite, all I kept thinking about was this emoji: 😬. That is my own fault and bias. I really believed because it’s over thirty years old that it must be old-fashioned, too heavy, overwhelming, yada yada yada. Not the case.

Anyway...this isn't anything incredibly remarkable. However...it's very clean and versatile. One of the first words that comes to mind when I smell this is "friendly." It's a SUPER friendly, pretty perfume that has a lot of versatility in terms of age. I can see a 15 year old wearing this as well as a 40 year old. One of the world's leading lifestyle brands, Calvin Klein is synonymous with authentic modern minimalist style. Everything it creates —clothing, accessories, home design—becomes a timeless classic. The label's award-winning fragrances are no exception. Calvin Klein's portfolio of bold and iconic scents continues to redefine the world of perfume. we know this scent was created to represent a marriage, or rather the ideal of marriage and what it represents and as a conceptual fragrance I find it very successful. I like the choice of representing love as being steadfast and serious, beyond sweetness and frivolity, something earthy and immortal. This is a milestone fragrance, something to grace important days and events both joyous and sad. While it would naturally be appropriate for a wedding or an anniversary, there is something in its solemnity that is almost funereal. It makes me think of beautiful white mourning flowers. Lilies and casket satin. As odd as it may sound I believe this only adds to the romance of this fragrance, but more on that later. First spray and it reminded me of another perfume I have already had and enjoyed: of course the classy EA 5 Avenue, the floral vibe is almost like EA but the difference is that EA stays floral all the way while this one has an inconfondable fruity vibe given by litchi and the leading floral note is peony. Also the fruity part I find it similar to Versace Bright Crystal only that BC is more girlish and watery while EM is more adult. I think if 5 Avenue and Bright Crystal blended together the result would be Eternity Moment. To me during the first 5 minutes this perfume is a typical floral but then the fruity notes start to appear especially litchi and raspberry even though the never fully take the stage. In the drydown becomes a creamy floral so not fresh or aquatic.

Although it is by no means the defining characteristic of this fragrance it is not without some sweetness. Its an element that emerges within the first hour once it warms on your skin but its not a transformation of the initial scent but a rounding off of its sharp edges. To me this symbolises the initially daunting concept of eternity with another person suddenly seeming possible, a realisation that commitment, fidelity, and a lifetime together are something you want and something you’re determined to have. The softening of the scent makes me think of an older, dignified couple stealing a moment together and remembering they’re still the same sweethearts they used to be. This one is a winner for me. I love it. It is a particularly strong perfume. When I spray one spray, I get different notes than if I spray 3 sprays. With 3 sprays, I get almost a soapy vibe which I usually detest. After about half an hour, that fades. There's a burst of white sugar in the opening. It comes across as a strong floral fruity perfume with woods and resins. The main notes are definitely the pink peony and the jasmine. It strarts with a burst of flowers, and as long as the time is passing by, a juicy raspberry appears, as well as litchi, and the aquatic nuances too (water lily and melon). The woods are there in the drydown, although they are not very present. I used to wear Eternity Moment a few years ago but I couldn’t really remember it other than it is supposed to be a fresh floral and I had liked it. But on wearing it today, I can say it’s not really fresh at all. I wouldn’t call it aquatic either unless by taking a full on floral and then watering it down, you could call it aquatic. Despite all the fruit notes that are supposed to be there, I get none. The bottle is elegant.
