About this deal

With a machined stainless steel housing finished in dark chrome, and able to support up to 100kg, the GAIAs look superb – and what they’ll do to your music is magical." Then second thing I noticed, stereo image is much more focused and in the centre, it's like the room has been acoustically treated a notch. We decided that the ideal setup would be to test IsoAcoustics GAIA isolators on two different speaker setups. The two setups would highlight speakers of differing weights supported by differing floor structures: The first setup would consist of my Revel Ultima2 Salon that sit on a hardwood floor while second would consist of RBH SVTR Signature Tower speakers that sit on vinyl flooring laid over a concrete floor. These are two reference speaker systems. The Revels weigh in at 146 lbs each while the RBH SVTR Signature Towers weigh in at a whopping 205 lbs each! This started to feel like a welterweight and super heavyweight match of titans. And so, in my personal quest to minimize vibration, I came upon IsoAcoustics, a company whose products I was casually familiar with but never had hands-on experience. Crafted with the vision of providing extraordinary acoustic performance, the GAIA III is the union of aesthetic visual design and acoustic engineering. The small compact design delivers unbelievable acoustic isolation that will bring out clarity and openness from your speaker like you’ve never heard.

I was looking to isolate my speakers from the hardwood floor to mitigate some of the physical vibrations that went into the room from my speakers without altering the sound—I did not want a solution that dampened or muddied the impact of lower frequencies. They sound superb in terms of transient response, transparency, live-like soundstaging & precise imaging. Well balanced highs & lows. Crafted with the vision of providing extraordinary acoustic performance, the GAIA III is the union of aesthetic visual design and acoustic engineering. The small compact design delivers unbelievable acoustic isolation that will bring out clarity and openness from your speaker as you’ve never heard.

Enter the Gaia III. Positioned underneath the Classic 1/2, sound quality takes a clear step forward. The sound is still weighty but it’s now more agile in the lower frequencies, gently warm rather than rich. Things are more nimble all-around and dynamics improved. The bass in ‘2287’ from Bersarin Quartett’s Methoden und Maschinen becomes easier to follow. Orchestral music, ambient and other larger-scale works fare equally well. Simpler music – chamber works, singer-songwriters, instrumental – comes across as more refined.Proving there’s life beyond the old faithful floor spikes, the cylindrical GAIA ‘pods’ connect into the base of your speaker, isolating the cabinet from vibration while resisting any tendency for it to move. Typically, they have the effect of lowering the noise floor, improving soundstage focus and tightening up the bass. We do provide installation options for built-in appliances providing it is simply a case of fitting the appliance and furniture doors. Any additional work to the kitchen units or carpentry work required will need to be completed at the customer’s expense. The reality is that optimizing my speakers in my rooms is certainly some lifelong quest. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get to the ultimate destination, but the lessons learned along the journey can only enrich it. As the science behind speaker-room interactions continues to mature, we’ll learn new things, develop new tools, and adapt methodologies.

GAIA I isolators are finished with a machined stainless steel housing with an elegant dark chrome finish. Incorporating IsoAcoustics patented design principles, the GAIA I provides a high degree of isolation while resisting lateral movement and oscillations to maintain alignment with the listening position. Internal reflections from the hard-supporting surface are attenuated resulting in greater sound clarity and openness. The GAIA I will reveal clarity and openness from your speakers as you’ve never heard. We all know the value of isolation when it comes to getting the best from hi-fi electronics, but until you hear IsoAcoustics’ GAIAs in action, you’ll never know how much this applies to speakers, too. While many rivals in the accessories space have seemingly similar offerings, IsoAcoustics GAIA III are a cut above average. Superbly built and finished, this is a quality product that will enhance your system’s sound and looks. The first most noticeable difference for me when I finished installing the GAIA III was how much more"freer" the sound was from the speakers, the bass especially instantly stood out, far more insight and detailed. Bass extension was far better controlled and tighter with the upper regions being more defined and natural in presentation. My system is hardly lumpy or bloated, but a more explorative and msical nature came with seemingly more weight as the bass was almost able to breath more and felt so much less restrictive in how it interacted with me and my room.”
