The Nokta Makro Simplex + is one of my favorite metal detectors on the market currently. In relic mode, there is very little falsing, the accuracy is pretty good, and the need for a pinpointer is minimized. For a beach, you can set the determination to cut out particular objects, and the sensitivity levels can be high while engaging the jewelry button.

Beach – Best for use in highly conductive soil areas, like saltwater or high mineralization. Has more ground balancing settings to give the best results.I also really like the vibration target alert on the Simplex +. This is handy when you are metal detecting in an area that is populated and you either cannot hear your metal detector well, do not want to wear headphones (or it is dangerous to do so), or you simply do not want to draw too much attention to yourself or bother others with the constant beep of a metal detector. This feature is also handy when shallow diving without headphones. The vibration is easy to feel underwater and extremely helpful. It is also a good thing for those hard of hearing. More treasure, less trash. Adjustable Iron Bias control lets you switch between High (default) and Low. The Multi-IQ technology allows you to search through all the possible frequencies without pressing a button. It is waterproof and lightweight enough for a young child to use. Its overall ease of use and Bluetooth ability mean you have more maneuverability and fewer wires dangling around. The VANQUISH detector screen will show "UP" turning the update; the first discrimination segment will blink rapidly while the update is in progress. Considering the detector’s reasonable pricing, it is the perfect choice for anyone wanting to treasure hunt, irrespective if you’re a beginner or a pro hunter.
