The newer version of the tent also has an extra pole, which adds a bit of weight. This tent will keep you warm and dry for a weekend trip in foul weather but it’s not going to perform as well as the Hilleberg at high altitudes or in extreme climates, so don’t let appearances fool you.

As a general rule, 2-person tents are for 1 person. The Cloud Up 2 is no exception. It is going to be a tight fit for two adults. However, my tween daughter and I fit in the tent fine, even with gear. It’s also very roomy for two kids. Cloud Up 3p has a crossbar on top. This gives you a LOT more interior space because the walls don’t droop as much. You also get much more headroom. The rainfly is coated only to 2000mm, which is half the water-resistance of the Taga 2. The Vik 1 is lighter than the Taga 2, though, and is a much better option for a solo camper. Design with snow skirt: It can make the tent comfortable when hiking in winter since it makes the tent more windproof, snowproof and tearproof, therefore it strengthens tent's stability and safety. Just like with the Mongar 2, it has two vestibules and two doors, so you can store your kit outside the main sleeping compartment.Just be cautious before use in extended downpours, and make sure to spray the tent with an extra waterproof coating on a regular basis.
The only annoying thing about the Cloud Up 2 in bad weather is the noise. Because of the pole structure, a lot of the rain fly isn’t attached to anything. It will flap around a lot in the wind. If you go for the upgraded version, you’ll have a second vent in the sleeping compartment, which will reduce condensation and cool down your tent in the summer. So, what’s the verdict after our first look at the Naturehike Cloud Up Tent? We went into this expecting to find a perhaps slightly lower quality (given the price) version of the Big Agnes Fly Creek. But to be honest, the quality of craftsmanship looks very impressive. I would say almost comparable to the Fly Creek itself.There are some other differences, like that the CloudUp 2 uses seven clips instead of six, doesn’t have guylines attached to the tent body, and has 14 stakes instead of 11. WATERPROOF & WINDPROOF - This tent is one tough cookie with a waterproof rating of 4000MM thanks to its Silicone Nylon fabric and seam taping. The Silicone Nylon construction also makes this tent ideal for snow trekking as the slipperier material allows snow to slide straight off!
