About this deal

Not a single second remained empty while reading it, the fast pacing and turn of events simultaneously is the most captivating factor of it.

The most boring, flat, uncharismatic cold piece of toast ever to have the goddamn wherewithal to call himself a pirate. this review is posted now!! which is good b/c i definitely haven't hit my talking-about-how-much-i-hate-this-book quota. find it here: https://emmareadstoomuch.wordpress.co... I value brilliant minds, honest souls, and those with long endurance. I forge relationships based on trust and mutual respect, not fear and control."

Nonetheless, I really enjoyed this, and it was a very amusing chapter. Too bad this is the only chapter we have from Riden's POV. I hereby request the author to release a full version, PLEASE. Riden literally CARRIES this series, I want moreee. My girls haven’t reached the upper floors yet. Men from this floor and the one below spill into the hallway. It doesn’t take them long to spot their captain. On a beautiful and sunny day, there was a girl sit on a bench. Her best friend who walked by saw her and she approached her to say hi

This book had great adventure, hidden truths and secrets, some romance and more importantly, funny banter, plotting and sarcasm laced through out. Which means if I’m to keep up appearances, I’ll have to escape the ship. Then get caught on purpose. Oh, the ridiculous things one has to do when one is a pirate. The narrowness of the hallway works to our advantage. The inn is rectangular, with rooms lining the edge of one side of the hallway and a railing on the other. Over the railing one can see clear down to the first floor. A stairwell zigzags up to each floor, the only way up or down except for the windows and the long drop to the bottom. The cotton shirt is too loose, the breeches too big, the boots too uncomfortable. My hair is bound on the top of my head, secured in a bun underneath a small sailor’s hat. My sword is strapped tightly to the left side of my waist, a pistol undrawn on my right. Because we are not our fathers. We saw what evil looked like, and we knew we wanted to be different.”

In terms of romance, while there is still plenty of sexual tension and romantic moments, I do feel like we lost some of the clever banter between our dear captain and our newly captured Riden. Fortunately, the conversations and further development of our side characters filled some of this void. This time around there was no true obstacle standing in the way of our favorite ship, except for their trust issues. Alosa struggles to fully let Riden in for fear of making herself weak, vulnerable. While Riden refuses to do things in half measures and will not be with Alosa if he cannot have all of her.

The clashes between Kalligan’s army and the crew are epically portrayed that they strike your mind just like their cutlasses. The clothing is awkward as it hangs loose in all the wrong places. And the smell! You’d think men did nothing but roll around in dead fish guts while smearing their own excrement on their sleeves. But perhaps I shouldn’t complain so.ALOSA WAS STILL a strong lead and I really liked her character. She was so ruthless and cutthroat - I loved it! But I really wish she wouldn't have been entirely reliant on Riden to use her abilities Either of those two examples would be prime candidates for nemesis status. But still I held out. I think a girl always wants her first time to be with someone special. This may seem like an odd tactic, but Alosa knows once she is aboard the enemy ship she will have ample opportunity to search for the map. Have you ever wished you could wield a sword and battle sea-beasts, explore bright blue oceans and listen to the song of sirens? All of the characters are a bit plain and not really developed, but the fun I had while reading it definitely helped forgetting this.
