About this deal

I was happy to see our policeman again and see how he treated the girls like equals. Letting them handle things on their side and him doing stuff on his side. I loved that he talked to them, that he tried to discuss what was going on, and that he tried to help out. Of course, he still protected them, but not in a way that most adults would do. This teen murder-mystery, set in an exclusive girls’ school in 1936 is reminiscent of Enid Blyton’s boarding school novels, but with a hefty dose of Agatha Christie’s gruesome, puzzling plotlines. But it soon becomes clear that this party isn't really about Daisy at all. Naturally, Daisy is furious. After reading so many murder mysteries, I actually discovered one of the murderers😂 But still I enjoyed it! Because this series can never dissapoint me😁 But there was a special twist in the ending❤️ And, in this book there were a ton of small twists! This is the best book I have ever read and beware this review is long and will have spoilers as to how they worked out who the murderer was not who they were of course.

I want to go to Deepdean School so badly😂🤭This book took me a bit long to read and in most of the parts......I was puzzled😂 I loved that we saw Deepdean's anniversary, sure, there was some chaos and some unhappiness and let's not forget murder and mystery, but we also saw some other things that were so much fun. I loved how the school went all out for their anniversary. Ah yes, the one thing I wasn't a fan of was the new girl. Armena? Armina? Sorry, I totally forgot her name already. Later on I got to like her a bit more, but for most I found her a bit too nosy. I get that she wants to make friends, but to just lurk around or pop in the middle of a conversation.. eh no. Plus, she felt too much like a new Daisy, just nicer. :P Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong are the stars of the Murder Most Unladylike Mysteries. Murder Most Unladylike (Murder is Bad Mannersin the USA ), Arsenic for Tea (Poison is Not Politein the USA ), First Class Murder, Jolly Foul Play, Mistletoe and Murder, the Cream Buns and Crimeseries companion, A Spoonful of Murder, Death in the Spotlight, Top Marks for Murder, Death Sets Sail and my book of Murder Most Unladylike short stories, Once Upon a Crime, are out now in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, India, Hong Kong and everywhere the Puffin editions are sold.

For anyone who has read the first seven books, then Top Marks for Murder will be most welcome and will not disappoint. For anyone new to these books, it can be read as a standalone, and if enjoyed, you will have the joy of seven more to read! It's the sixth murder mystery for The Detective Society! This time, though, one of them is the suspect... Their friend witnesses a murder so the girls decide to investigate. Nobody is found, so as parents descend on Deepdean for the anniversary celebrations the girls decide to monitor things carefully. It’s not long before they have witnessed an actual murder, so the race is on to learn exactly who is behind this crime.

A feelgood blend of Malory Towers and Cluedo . . . Stevens has upped her game in this new volume' Telegraph The competition closes on the 20th September 2019, and Booktrust are entirely in charge of choosing the winner and sending them the prize – I have nothing to do with this competition, so I won’t be able to help anyone win (sorry!).

Keep in touch

In this story, the school is preparing for its fiftieth anniversary. There is a buzz of preparations in the school for the big weekend, which will welcome in the parents of the girls at the boarding school. I love this character-Inspector Priestly!!!!! He is so intelligent, smart and good looking😁 He is super supportive for Hazel and Daisy! And always protect them! Daisy and Hazel love him!❤️ When Hazel Wong's beloved grandfather passes away, Daisy Wells is all too happy to accompany her friend (and Detective Society Vice-President) to Hazel's family estate in beautiful, bustling Hong Kong. Second, the whole plot of this story was so complicated and twisted it just made it one of the best detective books i have ever read.

And when someone very close to Daisy looks suspicious, the Detective Society must do everything they can to reveal the truth . . . no matter the consequences. Schoolgirl detectives Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong are at Daisy's home, Fallingford, for the holidays. May Wong has returned with her new friends Eric and Nuala as the heroes of my newest series the Ministry of Unladylike Activity! Ministry is also out in German, and it will publish in Italian and Polish in 2024. And its sequel, The Body in the Blitz, is out now in the UK and Ireland! Robin's books are: Murder Most Unladylike (Murder is Bad Manners in the USA), Arsenic for Tea (Poison is Not Polite in the USA), First Class Murder, Jolly Foul Play, Mistletoe and Murder, Cream Buns and Crime, A Spoonful of Murder, Death in the Spotlight and Top Marks for Murder. She is also the author of The Guggenheim Mystery, the sequel to Siobhan Dowd's The London Eye Mystery.

Chapter 6

I liked this new character - Amina, which I know is going to be a part of the “Detective Society” very soon. She is quite cheerful and ia intelligent!!! She played two pranks which were funny😂 Robin was born in California and grew up in an Oxford college, across the road from the house where Alice in Wonderland lived. She has been making up stories all her life. Finally i love how none of the clues or anything they found out was left hanging loose we found out about how Beanies Dad was telling the truth as her mum came to visit. We found out what happened between kitty's parents and more. All you have to do to win is find your nearest parent, carer, teacher or librarian, tell them the answer to the (very easy) question and they’ll be entered in the draw to win. This is only open to adults in the UK and Ireland because the prize needs to go to a school in the UK or Ireland – meaning that you and all of your friends will have access to the books if your friendly adult wins!
