About this deal

Actually, the darker my skin gets with natural UV, the more my skin turns ashen, because of how muted my skin tone is. So, anything made to give the glowing, brown tan, isn't going to work on me, even when my skin is light and yellow, because the red in the "glow" will mix and turn me orange. Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Ultra Dark works well for those with dark skin tones, as it provides a deep and natural-looking tan. This product is enriched with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, which helps to hydrate and nourish the skin while providing a beautiful glow. First of all, hop in the shower and exfoliate from head to toe. Once you get out of the shower, make sure you do not put on any moisturiser or deodorant. Also make sure you are completely dry. You want your skin to be like a blank canvas, completely bare and ready to be painted. If you wish, you can put a little bit of moisturiser on your hands, feet, elbows and knees. The moisturiser will work like a barrier to the tan and by applying to those areas you will find they do not go too dark! (The tan likes to grab to those areas more than others)

Bondi Sands Application Mitt Tips for achieving a natural-looking fake tan Exfoliate before applying fake tanTo ensure your tan is longer-lasting, avoid activities that can cause excessive sweating, such as saunas. That’s why Bondi Sands has created an inclusive and diverse range with its collection of affordable and easy-to-apply products. A. Our full Pure range contains Hyaluronic Acid for hydration, Vitamin C for radiance and Vitamin E for repair. I am not orange!!!! So that, in itself, beats out all the others. I don't even have an orange tint.

I only have on some eye make up and lip gloss in the photo, no foundation or powder. I have washed my skin daily as well, and I still look pretty darn dark! It's been 4 days! I thought these things were only supposed to last, at most, 3?!?! Alright so after I completed the application which was around 5 pm I went on with my day and initially I was really pleased with the color I had. I set a timer for 30 minutes, as I figured I wouldn't use it again, so I could do their 2nd application, which was SURE to turn me orange...(figured, it was necessary as even on the slight chance it did work, I would have to apply over it again, to keep the look, so why waste time when there were directions on how to do two applications on the same day). Here is where I messed up. I didn’t shower at the 6 hour mark which would have been at around 11 pm. I had a long day and when I went to put my daughter to bed I accidentally fell asleep with her. So I didn’t end up waking up until 9 am the next morning, meaning I had sat in this for about 17 hours. I think this is why I wasn’t satisfied with the end result, which was a very dark orange looking color. Now the positive is that the color did not look streaky at all! The mitt and the foam product worked really well together. The only other thing I would suggest for application is to maybe apply a regular lotion to knees, elbows, tops of feet, and hands before applying the foam as well as applying the foam VERY sparingly to these areas. I think that if I would have showered at the 6 hour mark I would be more satisfied with the final color. You can see the extreme color difference in my photo of my legs before and after the completed application.Become a Bondi Sands’ buff and join our Cult Concierge expert Ryan as he uncovers everything you need to know about the brand. So, when I saw my first dermatologist, around 22 years old (for my dry skin, btw, not my skin color, but obviously it was brought up, since the light colored eyes make it look like I am not mixed, but rather a fake and bake...), and he told me that my UV exposure from the past, could already lead to cancer down the road.

So, I put this stuff on my skin, Sunday morning. It had been a 3 weeks since my last self tanner catastrophe, and I had exfoliated the night before, did not moisturize that night or the morning of. (My only BIG complaint is that it needs to go on unmoisturized skin). It immediately started to darken, so was easy to see if there was any streaking, and fix that up (only on my shoulders, but, I was rushing a bit, and...since I expected it to fail, I didn't take my time). AQUA (WATER), DIHYDROXYACETONE, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, TRIDECETH-9, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE, POLYSORBATE 20, PEG-5 ETHYLHEXANOATE, GLYCERIN, ETHOXYDIGLYCOL, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), PEG-12 DIMETHICONE, CI 14700 (FD&C RED NO. 4), CI 19140 (FD&C YELLOW NO. 5), TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, DISODIUM EDTA, BENZYL ALCOHOL, PANTHENOL, CI 42090 (FD&C BLUE NO. 1). Of course, there was more then once where I didn’t apply for weeks. I kept color for about 7 days, before I noticed my toes turning orange. Whenever this has happened though, I made sure to exfoliate, use no moisturizers (even a different body wash) and did the two coats, 30 minutes apart (pretty much the same thing I did the first time I used it).Once applied you can wash the tan off after just 2 hours, but for a deeper long-lasting tan leave on your skin for up 8 hours. It really is personal choice. You might have to test it out a few times, to work out what suits you the best! If you prefer a more gradual tan, try Bondi Sands Everyday Gradual Tanning Milk which can be used daily to build up a natural-looking tan. Which Bondi Sands tan is best for dark skin tones I didn't have much hope for this one either. Seemed almost all of them were made to give the "glowing tan" that most white people get. Problem with that is, I don't tan with a "glowing" tan, naturally. My skin does not glow. Only reason it might look al little shiny in the pics is because I moisturize A LOT.

A little darker than fair-skinned people, but still pale. Light skin can be any tone but usually pulls more neutral to warm. Medium skin I have VERY dark circles under my eyes (even in baby photos I had them, so obviously, its just my face) and the tanner matched them to my face, so don't need to even use concealer under my eyes now. Using a tanning mitt can help to ensure an even and streak-free application of fake tan. The Bondi Sands Application Mitt is soft and velvety, making it easy to apply the product evenly. Ensure your skin is clean and dry, then using a tanning mitt apply your tan in long sweeping motions across your legs, arms and body to get a longer-lasting darker tan. Moisturise regularly Mistakes are likely to show up more on paler skin, so try using a fake tan which has a colour, such as the Self Tanning Foam. This means you can easily see where you’ve applied the product and avoid any missed patches. Which Bondi Sands tan is best for medium skin tones AQUA (WATER) ALCOHOL, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, DIHYDROXYACETONE, GLYCERIN, BUTANE, DIMETHYL ISOSORBIDE, ISOBUTANE, PROPANE, ETHOXYDIGLYCOL, PEG-60 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, POLYSORBATE 20, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), ERYTHRULOSE, CI 14700 (RED NO. 4), HYDROLYZED JOJOBA ESTERS, CI 19140 (YELLOW NO. 5), CI 42090 (BLUE NO. 1), BISABOLOL, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, FARNESOL, COUMARIN. PROPELLANT: HYDROCARBON.Needless to say, I took action! Every morning, I started putting on spf 50 spf, when I moisturized, and again around 1pm, (when I moisturized my second time), every day. Even if I didn't plan to go anywhere. Because I didn't want to risk my skin being exposed because I had to run out. I'm getting on in years, so night sweats are a part of my life. But no transfer on my bed either (I did put it on in the morning though and did rinse off after 6 hours in the shower). What a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t looking to get darker; I wanted the tan to give me a more-even complexion, and to give my melanin its time to shine. It was super-easy to apply, and I didn’t need to wash it off after. My all-white-everything bedding thanked me as, although I used long sleeves for precaution, there was no residue left on them. It dried to touch very fast and I got on with errands as the tan developed.
