Kendamil Stage 3 is based on a whey to casein ratio, of 20% whey to 80% casein, allowing children over 1 year to be ready to be weaned onto normal cows milk of a similar whey to casein ratio. The iron and calcium content is higher than Stage 2. Notice how close all of those numbers are to each other, with Kendamil meeting or exceeding all USDA nutritional recommendations. The fat is slightly lower than USDA guidance, which is very common in European baby formulas. Specifically, European formulas tend to have slightly higher protein and slightly lower fat than American baby formulas.

Step 2: Boil fresh water and let cool for 30 minutes before adding powder. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water. Measure the required water into a sterilised bottle. As babies become hungrier and naturally move toward weaning, Kendamil Follow-on formulas add iron and help the transition nutritionally. Kendamil Stage 1 is for birth to 6 months. You can use this formula to replace breastmilk or use alongside it as a supplement. Kendamil stage 1 is based on the same whey to casein ratio as breast milk which is 60% whey and 40% casein. This will overestimate nutrients in early months, and underestimate them for later months.

Secondly, you will notice Sodium Citrate listed in the ingredients. This is because the adjustments for European Organic have meant that the naturally occurring levels of sodium were reduced slightly, meaning we have supplemented to the required levels with Sodium Citrate.
