About this deal

Looking for a car seat that’s the ultimate in safety and lasts for every stage of your child’s growth? The new Silver Cross Motion All Size 360 is the only car seat you need to buy. Many car seats claim to be ‘every stage’. This means they are suitable from birth right up until around 12 years of age (or 135cm), when a child is no longer required by UK law to use a car seat. However, in reality, many of these have limitations, including the fact that they can’t fully rotate or are unable to be used with Isofix during each stage of a child’s growth. Be aware that it’s not advised to keep a baby in a car seat for longer than two hours. If your journey is longer than that, the NHS suggests pulling over and taking the child out for a short time before continuing on your way. What are the UK laws? Samantha: The two major advantages that this Silver Cross motion seat has above others for me is the superior safety features and the exceptional quality of the seat, it looks and feels like the best of the best. The seat looks sturdy and secure when fitted. The seat material is just beautiful and soft, it is exceptional quality and both my children who tested out the car seat loved it. For me the safety of the seat is paramount, and I have previously spent hours researching the best car seats when purchasing for my own children. This car seat has both of the features that I would look for which is extended rear-facing and the R129 Isize regulation fit, so I can be confident that my child will be safe, and the seat has gone through rigorous crash testing. After hearing many horror stories about cheap car seats, I would recommend spending as much as required on a safe and secure seat. It is your child’s life and well worth paying extra to keep them safe and give you peace of mind. What changes would you make to this product? To solve this, while also offering an easy way to switch from rear-facing to forward-facing when the time comes, Joie has created a car seat that, as the name suggests, spins 360 degrees. This means you can spin the seat towards the door and then into the correct position.

Key specs – Group: Children 4-12 years or 150cm in height; Item weight: 7.5kg; Attachment method: Isofix; Additional features: Adjustable headrest Sophie: My life is easier with this car seat as it gives me the ability to place my daughter into her car seat when she is asleep and also remove her when she is asleep with less chance of disturbing her. I also find it easier to place my daughter in the seat when in tight spaces for example in a car parking space, small driveway etc. Would you recommend this to other parents? What’s most impressive about the Motion All Size 360 is that it can be used from newborn to approximately 12 years of age, so you won’t need to invest in numerous car seats as they grow. Its 360-degree rotating design also adapts to your child as they grow, with easy-to-remove natural bamboo inserts and a stowaway harness.ADAC score the car seat across 5 key areas, safety, ergonomics, chemical content, ease of cleaning, how easy it is to fit. Combining all of these to give an overall publicly available score

Additional costs include inserts, in some cases, as well as the Isofix base. The latter doesn’t come with all baby car seats as standard and, although the connections are the same, many manufacturers are now offering their own proprietary bases for a price. Some manufacturers ship a base with their car seat, so it’s worth factoring this in when looking at the prices. A slightly more expensive price with the base may be better value in the long run. What else should I know about? You're right that there is no specific crash test on the Silver Cross, the info about seats that do all stages not being very good for performance is based on looking at all the results for every all-stages (or multi-stage including RF, FF and booster) seat that has ever been tested by ADAC. I compiled them a while ago and none of them gets higher than 3/5 stars, which is a pretty poor result - most of them get 2/5 stars (which is terrible) and three get only 1/5 stars and a "don't buy" recommendation. They tend to get in the region of 3.5-4.5 numerically which is not good. It's a scale from 0.5-5.5, and the lower the number the better. Joie i-Spin 360 has a 1.7 (4/5 stars) for safety, and the i-Spin Safe (which is likely to be comparable to using the i-Spin purely in rear facing mode) is 1.2 (5/5 stars) for safety which is very very good and one of the highest scores you can get. The Silver Cross Motion All Size 360 is designed to fit in a variety of cars and is compatible with both ISOFIX and seat belt installation. Its sturdy construction ensures it lasts for years, making it a cost-effective choice for parents looking for a versatile car seat that can grow with their child.
