About this deal

Customers joining EE on a Pay As You Go Plan from 10 March 2023 will have their speed capped at 25 Mbps. There aren’t any fair usage restrictions in the UK, but when roaming you’re limited to 30GB of data in Europe, and 10GB in India.

An unlimited data SIM is a plan that comes with unlimited data. They work much like any other SIM, but allow you to use as much data on your device as you want without worrying about running out or getting a big bill. For years now, the Three network has fought off competition to offer the best value limitless SIM, but the margins are always shrinking with other networks closing the gap. Things to watch out for on EE’s unlimited data plan include a fair usage limit of 600GB per month and a limit of 12 devices for tethering and personal hotspot. At the time of writing, all networks with unlimited data plans offer 5G, so you can potentially get the maximum available speeds in the UK.

On EE’s unlimited data plans, you’re welcome to share your unlimited data allowance with other devices through tethering or personal hotspot. However, EE says this is for “personal use only”. There’s also a limit of 12 tethered devices within the terms and conditions of the plan. If you regularly tether more than 12 devices, this would be considered “non-personal use”. Compare the Market is a trading name of Compare The Market Limited. Registered in England No. 10636682. Registered Office: Pegasus House, Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate, Peterborough, PE2 6YS. Compare The Market Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for insurance distribution (Firm Reference Number: 778488). Energy and Digital products are not regulated by the FCA.Full Works SIM: Includes access to uncapped speeds, 3 Inclusive Extras, Data Gifting and upgrade anytime. For most EE customers, inclusive roaming is available in 48 European destinations. However, customers choosing the Roam Further Pass as their Smart Benefit will get another 5 destinations added to this list (the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand). There are a host of networks that will only offer 1-month rolling plans. These include Voxi, Smarty, GiffGaff and Lebara. Alternatively, the likes of Three and iD Mobile can offer a rolling plan at a higher cost. Overall, VOXI's unlimited data plan is a more affordable alternative to the equivalent plan on Vodafone, though Vodafone gives you more options in terms of duration and speed. Your Smart Hub connects to the Smart Hybrid Connect device so if your broadband connection ever goes down, you will stay connected using the EE 4G mobile network. 4G speeds vary by location, coverage and demand. For use in a fixed location only. 24 month minimum term. 4G coverage required. Your speed guarantee does not apply when you are using a Smart Hybrid Connect device. See ee.co.uk/terms for full terms and conditions.

It’s possible to use tethering or personal hotspot on your phone to share your unlimited data allowance with other devices. However, EE has limited this to a maximum of 12 devices. They say that regular usage beyond this limit will be considered non-personal use: For more information, see our guide to EE’s 5G network. You can also read our full overview of 5G coverage in the UK. Tethering & Personal Hotspot

The monthly price shown, add-ons and all out of bundle charges will increase on or after 31st March every year by the Consumer Price Index rate of inflation published in January that year, plus 3.9%. See ee.co.uk/increase for details. Please note the cost of other services you take from us may increase or decrease while you're an EE customer. The main benefit of an unlimited data deal is never running out of mobile data. So, even if you’re miles away from a Wi-Fi connection, you won’t have to worry about using lots of data on streaming a show or running an online playlist all day. It’s the best way to ensure you always have data when you need it. Alternatives to unlimited SIM only plans Apple Arcade: Data used will be deducted from your plan allowance. So for unrestricted speeds you need an Unlimited Max plan.
