In the restaurant, the Janitor subdues Sara, and twists Cammy's head, killing her. Enraged, Lund tries to lure Willy to kill the Janitor, only for Willy to tear her in half. Willy and the Janitor fight each other until the Janitor rips Willy's head off. The next morning, Tex and Jed return to the building and find it completely clean, with the animatronics missing. The Janitor receives his repaired vehicle and invites Liv to accompany him, to which she happily agrees. While Tex and Jed discuss planning to re-open Willy's Wonderland, Sara suddenly appears and sets their car on fire with gasoline. Tex and Jed are killed in a massive explosion that also destroys the entire restaurant. The project was announced in October 2019, with screenwritter Parsons having come up with the idea based on his 2016's short film Wally's Wonderland, which was also the original script name. In December 2019, Kevin Lewis was hired as director. In February 2020, Emily Tosta, Beth Grant, Ric Reitz, Chris Warner and Caylee Cowan joined the cast.

If a sequel does come out, it is unknown if the animatronics (or at least the souls that inhabited them) will appear, as they were all destroyed. After the deaths of Willy and Eloise Lund, Sara, still alive, gets out of the garbage bag and uses gasoline, which Liv was about to burn down Willy's with, to pour all over Tex's car. When Tex and Jed get inside the car, they see Sara through the car's front mirror, and Sara bids farewell to them, then triggers a massive explosion, ending up killing them both and herself. In the prequel comics, their human origins were revealed, with Willy's and Sara's revealed in the first issue. Ozzie Ostrich is revealed to be a serial killer going by the epithet "The Midnight Strangler". After his abusive mother strangled him so hard his vocal cords stopped working, he became a serial killer who preyed on women attending university. Even though she died in the explosion, some believe that the explosion launched her away from the car rather than killing her. This led some to believe she survived, although it is unlikely she did.Beast Of Bower Boulevard, Parsons’ next comic book series was more removed from Willy’s Wonderland, so its storylines represent more of a departure from the original story. “ It’s a completely open world where I could do whatever I wanted.” The Janitor isn’t a part of this series.
