About this deal

This subwoofer offers seriously excellent design elements like the metal grill that is securely fastened to the front of the speaker so that there is no vibration from it at all. Getting the most out of a sub takes more than just buying one and dropping it in your studio space. The size, shape, and acoustic treatment of your room matter a great deal in terms of how much of a difference your subwoofer will make.

While we do have to take a look at the Yamaha HS8 before we can make a recommendation we do know that Yamaha typically offers reliable products that offer a great sound. Why Do You Need a Subwoofer? So I use this speakers at home instead of a Hi-fi system. I decided to go for studio monitors mainly to avoid external amplifiers and compared to commercial compact systems, audio quality is off the roof. Find the best position for your subwoofer, too. A subwoofer can help a lot, but it takes some experimenting to figure out the sweet spot. To make matters much easier, place your subwoofer near your speakers and play anything with a lot of low-frequency acoustics. Listen carefully and find the best possible spot for your subwoofer with the playing as a guide! The sound is brilliant. At low volume they work perfectly well, just like normal computer speakers, but as you raise the volume, the sound remains perfectly clear to the point when it hurts your ears. The whole places shakes, but no distortion appears. Thats amazing.

What Makes Our Sales Engineers Great?

Now that we’ve established that buying a subwoofer is a good move for most home studios, it’s time to lookat one of my favorite subs, theYamahaHS8S. However, it will work better for those who need a lot of power for their mixes. That’s what the Hs8 does best.

It is a simple look very boxy but it is innocuous which is what you want your equipment to be, you do not want the speakers to be center stage. It has a simple but very effective design. They look really really good. The illuminating Yamaha logo looks awesome. Built quality is really nice, they feels strong and durable. They are quite heavy but that's expected. You should also be five feet away from the studio monitors to hear the audio better if they’re five feet apart as well. The sound of this subwoofer is pretty on point. It offers a great deal of clarity for mid-range tones and bass. The HS8S is the perfect accompanying subwoofer for Yamaha HS Studio Monitors. The HS8S employs custom develop transducers designed to deliver exceptional sonic accuracy. The transducers feature an advanced magnetic field design, resulting the flow of the magnetic response. The resulting sound is powerful yet refined, ideal for reference-grade audio applications such as mixing and mastering. The confined frequency range spans from 22hz – 150Hz, focusing on the low-end response of your sound. The specialised design provides ultra-low distortion sound and a clear and concise image of your low-end sound. Design & ConnectivityFrankly the HS7 speakers offer plenty of lows so that the HS8 is not really needed in a home studio or even a smallish professional studio. You need a sub, everyone needs a sub, even if you space is limited. Remember the sub is not there is bump up the bass only it is there to ensure that you are not missing anything. Yamaha’s HS Series of studio monitors is the go-to choice for many, many at-home musicians for their impressive balance of power, clarity and price. Simply put, aside from the HS Series, you’ll have a hard time getting this good a response at anywhere near these prices. The only con of the Yamaha HS8 is that it isn’t the Yamaha NS10. But that isn’t the HS8’s fault. And, unfortunately, the NS10 has been discontinued. The HS8 isn’t a consolation prize, though. It is an excellent speaker in its own right, and studio producers will love its monitoring capabilities. Who Is It Suitable For?
