Inside the Camp Lehigh, Vision told Parker and the others that he had experimented using the Mind Stone to find a cure and when he was asked if he had been successful, they heard Scott Lang's voice. Vision turned around a chair to reveal Lang's head in a glass enclosure with a life support system attached. Spider-Man has always been seen as Marvel's most hopeful hero, as he speaks for the average person, so seeing him succumb to the darkness of the apocalypse is unsurprisingly grim. The fact that his mask is split in two shows just how at war with himself he is whenever the zombie apocalypse hits. She killed Kurt Goreshter and engaged in a fight against Barnes. Parker joined in, using his webs to tie Maximoff up, and Okoye threw her spear at Maximoff, which only caused her to break free from the webs in a burst of red telekinetic energy. Bruce Banner convinced Vision to free them and after Vision opened up an escape route, Parker and the others made their way out of the base. Once Parker and T'Challa were in the Quadjet, they were joined by Scott Lang and the Cloak of Levitation. They then watched as Vision took the Mind Stone out of his head, deactivating himself, and Maximoff freeing herself from the debris, before coming over to his body. Banner recovered the Mind Stone and went to the Quadjet, handing it over to Parker. Parker told him to come with them, but Banner told him to avenge them, before leaving them, turning into the Hulk and fighting Wanda Maximoff. After they had flown into the air, they were stopped by a zombified Hope van Dyne. She grabbed the Quadjet, but T'Challa applied the thrusters, freeing them from her.
