About this deal

The T-5R featured side airbags installed in the seat cushions. The side airbags were integrated into the rest of the Volvo model line the following year as an option, and became standard a year after that; other manufacturers soon followed suit. The car was also fitted with an early example of daytime running lamps. Also, just like the 940, it had three-point seatbelts at all five seating positions (previously, cars had only a lap belt for the center rear seat). The T-5R also used the OBDII diagnostics system, a year before OBDII was made an automotive standard. La Mancelle Liberty 490 SA: a stylish appearance and brilliant build quality make this a tempting tourer.

In the main washroom on the offside (away from any awning), you will find a large roller blind on the opaque window behind the toilet. A salad-bowl-style basin with a chrome tap sits in front of a large mirror. You also get a ladder radiator in here. It was launched with the slogan "A dynamic car with four unique innovations" [17] which referred to the newly developed five cylinder transverse engine, the Delta-link rear axle, [18] the Side Impact Protection System (SIPS), [19] and the self-adjusting seatbelt reel for the front seats. [15] [20] Initially, only the saloon was available, [17] badged as 850 GLT, and came with a choice of 2.5L or 2.0L 20V engines. [21] In most performance aspects, the SSD 850 EVO came close to or even bested the SSD 850 Pro—which is still the fastest SATA drive we've tested to date. The SSD 850 Pro only decisively trumped this latest EVO drive on warranty—and even there, the SSD 850 EVO's five-year warranty beats that of most other mainstream drives by a couple of years. The Secondary Storage Test is a subtest under Futuremark's larger PCMark 7 benchmarking suite. It employs a different approach to drive testing than pure speed tests like AS-SSD, which we'll get to in a moment. PCMark 7 runs a series of scripted tasks typical of everyday PC operation and disk accesses. It measures app launches, video-conversion tasks, image import, operations in Windows Media Center, and more. The result is a proprietary numeric score; the higher the number, the better.

We were impressed by the ADATA Legend 850 2 TB's exceptional read and write speeds, making it an excellent gaming choice. Based on my experience working with a range of SSDs offering similar speeds, I can ensure that game loading times will be significantly reduced compared to HDDs, resulting in an exceptional gaming experience. For the 850, Volvo created what it called "Delta-link semi-independent rear suspension". Volvo held a U.S. patent for rear axle bushings that compress under load, giving the Volvo 850 passive rear steering. It also has a tight turning circle, 10.2m (33.5ft), and is considered very maneuverable. By comparison, later large Volvos had a 11.9m (39.0ft) turning circle. a b c Peter C. Sustainable procurement where you’ll find information on embedding sustainable procurement in the acquisition lifecycle, sustainable defence estate procurement and more. Science and technology If your system is based on a recent Intel Haswell, Ivy Bridge, or Sandy Bridge chipset (or one of the newer AMD chipsets), there's a very good chance that your laptop or desktop has the newer, faster interface. Be sure before buying, though. If your system doesn't have a SATA 3.0 interface, there's little point in paying a premium for a drive with the maximum possible performance. SATA 3.0-capable drives will work just fine with previous-generation SATA ports, but there's scant reason to pay extra for drive speed that your system can't take advantage of. A basic drive will work just as well, in that SATA 3.0-less scenario. For 1995, the special limited edition 850 T-5R was offered, and was a commercial success, leading Volvo to produce a second run in 1996. [36] Originally, it was to be called 850 Plus 5. [37] The vehicle was based on the 850 Turbo, utilizing the B5234T5 engine with a special ECU ( Bosch #628 in U.S and #629 in EU) that added an additional 2psi (0.1bar) of turbocharger boost pressure, [38] giving the engine an extra 18hp (13kW; 18PS) for a total of 243hp (181kW) [39] and 250lb⋅ft (340N⋅m) of torque. The engine was mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual transmission, the latter of which was not available in the United States. The T-5R was renowned as a sleeper car; despite its boxy, understated appearance, it boasted a drag coefficient of 0.29 and was capable of accelerating from 0 to 60mph (97km/h) in 5.8 – 6.0 seconds (depending on transmission and body type). The top speed was electronically limited to 152.2mph (244.9km/h). The vehicle came standard with Pirelli P-Zero tyres, providing lateral grip of 0.88 g. The engine tuning was co-developed with Porsche, as was the transmission and other powertrain components. Porsche also aided in designing some of the interior, such as the Alcantara seat inserts. These cars came as standard with nearly every feature available, only a handful of options – such as heated rear seats – were available. On the North American market only two options could be chosen, a trunk-mounted Alpine 6-CD changer and no-cost 16" wheels for a smoother, more comfortable ride and driveability in snow when using all-season tires. Retrieved 2015-09-21.On the more-important small-file write test, the SSD 850 EVO was only bested by Plextor's M6e M.2 drive, which isn't limited by the SATA interface. The 256GB model of the Crucial MX100 managed to tie the SSD 850 EVO on this test, which is impressive. The higher-capacity 512GB MX100 model, though, was less impressive, falling more than 12MB per second behind the new EVO drive... Still, those comparisons are based on the launch price, or MSRP, for the SSD 850 EVO. The street prices of SSDs often wind up being much lower than the MSRP—especially once a couple of months have passed. So while the initial pricing on the SSD 850 EVO might seem a touch high versus some of its competition, we'll have to wait and see just how much of a "bargain" this new drive ends up being once it's been out for a bit.

The overprovisioning menu is especially interesting. Here, you can change the amount of drive space set aside for replacing worn cells, and other maintenance tasks. (The default setting is 10 percent.) In this real-world test, we first copy the test folder onto the SSD, which has been secure-erased and reformatted before the process begins. We then make a folder-to-folder copy of the file on the SSD itself, and time the process. We use the software TeraCopy to manage the file transfer and time the process precisely. For a limited time in 1996 only, Volvo offered a new heavy duty manual transmission designed specifically for the 850 R (excluding U.S. market), called the M59, which featured a viscous coupling limited slip differential. Furthermore, the M59 equipped cars were fitted with the B5234T4 2.3-litre 5-cylinder engine featuring a larger TD04HL-16T turbo, re-designed turbo manifold & intercooler, unique ecu with Motronic 4.3, uprated fuel pressure sensor and a heavy duty clutch. These modifications enabled the manual transmission cars to produce 250hp (186kW) and 350N⋅m (258lb⋅ft) [44] versus 240hp (179kW) and 330N⋅m (243lb⋅ft) for the automatic transmission.
