About this deal

All the paintings are carefully designed by our own designers. Dark Color follows the trend to update the most popular pictures daily to make you catch the trend timely.

Drazhar is a beautiful model, maybe my favorite in the entire game, and was an absolute joy to paint as well. I won’t talk about him too extensively here, since I already wrote an article for Goonhammer about some techniques I used to paint him. If you are curious though, you can read that article here . Long story short, Apothecary White and Tesseract Glow are your friends. Glazing is when you use extremely thin paint to highlight a surface over a few thin coats. The idea is that using a paint medium like Lhamian Medium (or water), you can get a paint thin enough that the color underneath the layer will still come through, and you can gradually build up these very thin glaze layers to make a smooth highlight. If you look at some paint I put on my thumb here, you can see that the color of my fingernail still comes through the paint. The thinner the paint, the more the color underneath will come through and the more layers you will need to build up to the true color. This glaze here is pretty heavy for a glaze layer, but it will still do exactly what I want it to do here. The gold is the same as I’ve used in countless of these HTPEs, Rhinox Hide > Mournfang Brown > XV-88 > Balor Brown > Zamesi Desert > Dorn Yellow http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/en_US/media/e588d28183cec31ffd6dcee6d3718fc3.cms/equivalencias-rev05.pdf These are now my go-to paints for everything. When I set out to identify the best paints for miniatures I never expected to find a result this good.Sponge Chipping:Create weathering by dabbing a torn piece of foam in dark grey, like Eshin Grey or Skavenblight Dinge and/or a dark brown, such as Rhinox Hide, then dabbing this against the model. If you wanted to buy every Reaper paint they make (which I now do), There’s no easy way to figure out what sets and then what individual paints you need to buy. Reaper Miniatures operate out of Texas in the US and produce their own models in Metal, Resin & Plastic, their own paints, wargames, tabletop games and even have a huge yearly convention – ReaperCon. For you guys, I highly recommend you try these out. Think of a colour that you paint most often for your army. Find a Reaper MSP triad that is in that range and try it in place of what you normally paint.

Within the Core Colours, there are Metallics, Clear Paints, Liner Paints & Washes (though no washes are part of ore Colours set 1 unfortunately). Master Series paints (MSP) BonesSkin, as a substitute for this one. If you want more warmth, mix 50/50 Tanned Skin 9044 with Golden

There are almost no RPP's that translate exactly to MSP's, though there are several that are close. They are as follows: That’s it for now! Stay tuned for further articles covering other exciting models for Marvel Crisis Protocol! Additional Photos: Please note: we now use a different clear caddy for our paint sets and is different from the one shown in the image. Is there a conversion chart that would cross reference Reaper Master Series to the Liquitex line of artist’s colors? Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our errorCURSED GOLD: Fantastic for exactly what its name says; highlight with 09450 Dragon Gold. Also good for the rich gold on Egyptian-themed models, and as a darker, more moody gold for evil minis where you do not want something really bright. Auric Armor Gold: This is a warm, metallic gold that can be used to paint the details and accents on the miniatures painted with Dark Reaper. It can also be used to create a split-complementary color scheme. I had a mixed result when combining the Reaper Miniatures paints with these products. A little experimentation showed the best thing to mix with them to make glazes, is water. Reaper Miniatures Master Series Paints – Core Colors Set #1 – Airbrushing

The armor plates get edge highligting with Sotek Green, completing the classic Drukhari look, albeit with a more blue tint. This Master Series Bones Ultra-Coverage Paints Basic Set includes 54 half-ounce (1/2 oz.) bottles of water-soluble, non-toxic hobby paints. Graveyard Earth: Uniform Brown 9127 is close, as is a 50/50 mix of 9161 Shield Brown and 9162 Driftwood Brown (though the latter is a little more grey) This paint is smooth, from beginning to end. It’s smooth coming out of the bottle, smooth when you thin it with water and smooth when you apply it to a model. The above images show my attempt at base coating without primer, to show A, how smooth the end result is. and B, the opacity of this paint. In our How to Paint Everything series, we look at how to paint well, everything! We look at different models and techniques and have multiple approaches to specific models. In today’s article, we’re looking at how to paint some of the terrain in Marvel Crisis Protocol, starting with terrain found in the Core Box (CP01) set!

For the taxi, airbrush with a basic flat yellow, such as Tamiya XF-3 Flat Yellow (my favorite) or Phalanx Yellow (meh). If you aren’t into glazing or have struggled with it, don’t worry. this paint does most of the work for you.
