Diplomatico Planas. This is a white rum from the famous Venezuelan rum brand Diplomatico. Most wll known, without doubt for their Reserva Exclusiva. In a slightly different rum world to the one we know today,seen as one of the world’s best. In some circles, it perhaps still is. Na své zařazení se jedná o celkem „starý“ rum, vybraný blend totiž zraje v sudech po bourbonu až 6 let (některé konkurenční rumy jen několik měsíců, v nejlepším případě 3 roky), takže to klidně můžeme považovat za pravdivou informaci. Po vyzrání se samozřejmě ještě filtruje černým uhlím pro odstranění barvy (6 krát!). It reminds me of Chairman’s Reserve White Label or Elements Eight Platinum due to the sweeter coconut notes.

Mix rum with walnut syrup. Put the coffee and the cocoa in a coffee filter over a jar full of ice. Mix Reserva Exclusiva with the syrup and pour over the coffee with cocoa. Let it filter to the jar. When it is all filtered, serve into espresso cups and enjoy!
