Mortarion Grime is a lovely shade of yellowy filth that’s perfect for weathering war machines and dirtying grizzled behemoths. Tyran Blue and Berserker Bloodshade offer new ways to shade reds and blues that are more vivid than our existing hues, while Soulblight Grey is great for shading pale paint schemes. The Seraphon are the protectors of the Great Plan – refugees from the World-that-Was, they floated through the void for aeons until they discovered the Mortal Realms. Under the guidance of the Slann Starmasters, they battle the forces of Chaos to maintain the balance of the astromatrix . That’s it, your Saurus is done! If your shield has areas that you want to make stone, like I did on mine, just follow the same steps from the stone weapon.White Scar is designed specifically for use with Contrast paints, to sit alongside the cool Grey Seer and the warmer Wraithbone sprays. Tyranids are known for their scaly and chitinous appearance, making Kroxigor Scales a natural choice for painting them. Once the fighting has stopped, however, it is not uncommon for Kroxigor to simply drop their weapons and continue with another appointed task. They were not made for remembering details for any length of time, and for this reason, some Skinks will secure the weapons to the Kroxigor itself, using lengths of bronze chain. Even the most forgetful beast will therefore drag his weapon along behind him to the next engagement. [1b] Sacred Kroxigor [ ] These were fun to paint up, with plenty of fun details. The only issue I ran into painting was that the shoulder pad trim was actually too small for me to follow with my ever-so-slight hand shakes – but otherwise it was a blast. I started from a zenithal highlight and used Kroxigor Scales for the Armor, Wyldwood highlighted with Baneblade brown for straps, Scale Necro Gold, and the new Soulblight Grey wash to cheat some definition out of the tunics. Steve layered Briar Queen Chill and the newly improved Nuln Oil over a bright Stormhost Silver basecoat for a metallic Contrast tint – to give his Sisters of Silence armour with a cool tone and a steely appearance. Emma Robinson Jim: Yes, Bob, but if a Kroxigor catches your punch with its open jaws, you’ll have to replace what’s left of your fist with an ACTUAL hook… This purple is the primary colour representing the Old One Tepok,* so you can see purple tones and hues across the celestite found in weapons and accessories wielded by the Seraphon, and also in the shading and glazing on the gold medals. Counter to that, you can see red come across in spawnings blessed by Sotek, the most warlike of the Old Ones. These colours appear in the head markings and skink handprints on the Kroxigor Warspawned. Lizardmen teams everywhere have been hiring these monstrous reptiles to dominate the line of scrimmage, freeing up their Saurus to do what they do best – punch, claw, and bite their way through the opposition to create space for a speedy Skink to slip through and make for the end zone. Adeptus Mechanicus: The Adeptus Mechanicus are a faction of the Imperium of Man that specialize in technology and machines. These models often feature a metallic and mechanical appearance, but some also have scaly and textured components. Kroxigor Scales can be used to create an interesting contrast and help to add more depth to these models.

This set builds either five javelin-throwing Raptadon Hunters or lance-wielding Raptadon Chargers, two units who have natural synergy on the battlefield. Saurus Warriors I've just about got the unit to table top ready, however they need both basing and weathering, so that's a job for this week.
