I would personally stay away from interior cleaners unless you have a heavily soiled interior. You can safely clean the interior using a simple combination of mild soapy water and microfiber cloth. But as I found out in the later part of this review, the Quik Interior Detailer came in handy when it’s time to safely remove dirt and smudges on plastic LCD screens and tough stains on vinyl headliners with a simple wipe. Application: Chemical Guys isn’t kidding with the title “Total Cleaner.” We were able to spray this on nearly all interior surfaces without damaging them. The formula’s watery texture caused it to drip more than expected, so users should be wary of over-spraying. Scent: We liked the Total Cleaner’s flowery aroma, which lingered long after we finished cleaning. It had no hint of any chemical smells.

Keep in mind that not every soap is appropriate for interior detailing. Meguiar’s claims the Quik cleaner has an “ improved deeper cleaning formula” that can remove even tough dirt and stains…. I don’t know exactly what that means, but it sure cleans good! Cleaning up the seats and door sidings The worst part is the smell has a tendency to linger for a while. Other people might find the smell particularly pleasing, but my nose was not pleased with the slightly overpowering scent of this interior cleaner. Bottom LineThe average sized car dash will need 3 or 4 sprays of product for a light cleanse. Door cards generally require 2 to 3 sprays whilst centre consoles often only need a couple of squirts. All things considered, cleaning the interior of an average sized car will take about 15-20ml of product.
