About this deal

Ken Nwosu as Sagramor, a fierce Numidian from Africa Nova and veteran of the old Roman army who has followed Arthur to Britain after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. [7] Alexis Hood, story producer for EntertainmentOne, lauds Muthy as an “exceptional talent whose writing has genuine heart, warmth and emotional depth”. She owes her love for writing through a “fantastic drama teacher who pushed me towards arts at Beacon School, Banstead (Surrey)”– a standard comprehensive.

Nessah: Maia and Lenny were indeed in an MBU at the end of the film. I didn’t personally go to an MBU, but I did a fair bit of research around MBUs. Watching Louis Theroux’s documentary, Mothers on the Edge, made me question that, if it wasn’t for MBU’s, and if I had been admitted to a unit, who would have looked after my children? How would my husband have coped? I really wanted to show the family together and I wanted that scene to be gentle and warm and, ultimately, for there to be hope. Damien Molony (Lenny) Eccleshare has a second project in with Sky: A Rush Hour-style buddy cop drama about the north-London Jewish neighbourhood watch group, the Shomrim. It is housed at Monumental Television, the Harlots producer run by Alison Owen and Debra Hayward. It’s an actual medical technical term that means — this is really paraphrasing – that as the sun goes down dementia sufferers experience worsening characteristics of confusion and agitation. It’s a really weird metaphysical reaction to light but it could also be about life!”

Nessah’s co-written 4 part thriller for Channel 5/Story Films has recently wrapped along with her episode of Grantchester (Series 9) for ITV/Kudos. The fact is this is a highly collaborative process, neither of you really know what “it” is you're creating because [hopefully] it’s new and uncharted. You have to trust that you’ll find and work “it” out together. And that’s just in script/story terms, the real life world of my story was also largely unfamiliar so we needed time to research and work out that world too.

Too often, however, that's where they stop. There's an art to writing playlets, keeping them self-contained and complete, but Muthy's better at set-ups than following through. She draws situations with skill and concision, then leaves stories dangling, frustratingly incomplete. When a woman's envious of her echo, what comes next? What happens once you reset a robot that cries rape? Muthy shies away from springing the sort of surprising twists short plays need. She raises questions without attempting answers. The piece for four actors is set in a sinister David Lynch-style restaurant. During the performance a variety of tastings will be served to the audience, with an emphasis on sound, smell and memory. Valene Kane as Morgan, Arthur's half-sister and another bastard child of King Uther. She is a sharp-tongued and independent-minded pagan and student of Merlin. [5]Written by award-winning Nessah Muthy and directed by Stef O’Driscoll How To Save The Planet When You’re A Young Carer and Broke peeks into the life of a young working-class carer having to make decisions between life-saving responsibilities at home and being dedicated to save the planet in times of climate emergency. probably one of the most sensitive portrayals of dementia seen on stage. It doesn’t tiptoe around it, but it never seems to take advantage of it either…. a lovely, emotive piece of theatre.’
