Below I will analyze all five lists of Regidrago VSTAR, but the same Dragon-type Pokémon will be used in practically all of them, which are Duraludon VMAX, Giratina VSTAR, Garchomp V, Hisuian Goodra VSTAR, and depending on the variant, Dragonite. These are by far the best options we have in the format right now, and they work consistently. Other options like Flygon V, Flapple, and Appletun can be good, but they are situational and sometimes insufficient even in the matchup that should be good. Another important point is not to exaggerate the number of options for Regidrago VSTAR, as with each new option you put on the list, one more consistency card will probably have to be removed. About four to six Pokémon options is a good amount to play, more or less than that and you can already have problems discarding Pokémon, or consistency issues due to having too many Pokémon. When I decided to study Regidrago VSTAR, I decided to go after the main combinations that could make Regidrago VSTAR work, so after researching some lists, I arrived at the five variations of Regidrago VSTAR that have the most potential: According to legend, Regidrago was created by Regigigas using crystallized dragon energy; however, Regigigas ran out of crystals after building Regidrago's head. Regidrago was then sealed away in a temple by ancient people, who feared the destruction it would cause should it ever be completed. The five Legendary giants may collectively be themed after historical epochs, with Regidrago representing the Middle Ages, a period known for its legends of dragons. Alternatively, Regidrago may represent the Mesozoic, the era when dinosaurs walked the Earth which is also known as the Age of Reptiles. Regidrago's being the remnants of an ancient dragon or crystalized dragon energy may be a vague reference to fossil fuels.

Regidrago seems to be based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened, or even killed in some legends. Regidrago's face that consists of seven dots may be based on Braille alphabet which was necessary to use to encounter the Legendary giants for the first time in Sealed Chamber. While I wouldn't recommend bringing Primal Groudon to this raid, if you already have your Groudon reverted and don't want to enter cooldown, it still outperforms any of the standard top counters. It's a Ground and Fire type, meaning it has no useful resistances or weaknesses here, and it won't be providing a same type boost to any of the recommended counters. If you do bring Primal Groudon along, it should know Dragon Tail and Precipice Blades. Honorable mentions

Note: Shadow Dragonite, Shadow Latios, and Shadow Gardevoir outperform all the top counters except for the Megas and Primal Groudon. Shadow Weavile, Shadow Mewtwo, Shadow Latias, and Shadow Salamence all perform on par with the top counters.
