About this deal

I made a big loopy bow and held it together with a long piece of wire. Then I found the nicest orientation of the wreath (because grapevine wreaths are never really round) and wired the bow to the wreath. I am using my wreath on my front door. We have a covered porch so the wreath is pretty safe from most weather. So the answer is yes, you can use this wreath outside IF it is protected. And over the years I figured out some designer secrets and processes that make their wreaths so gorgeous! Perfectly suited to both modern and traditional décor schemes, this gorgeous, welcoming wreath has been left plain for you to decorate with your favourite Christmas decorations, simply coated in a dashing of snow to create a wonderful wintery finish. Why not get the whole family involved in decorating with all of your favourite colours and pieces, creating a wreath that's unique and personal to you and your loved ones. The Christmas wreath I am sharing today is made with a grapevine wreath. And part of the grapevine wreath is exposed. I’ve never made a Christmas wreath like this before!

Another designer tip for bow placement is to tie the bow high on the wreath. If you center the bow in the middle of the wreath or lower it will look very droopy! Trust me on this! HOW TO ADD THE GREENS Today a Christmas wreath is a common symbol of Christmas! WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE THIS CHRISTMAS WREATH Christmas wreaths have a long and rich history. Here is a very short version of why we hang Christmas wreaths on our front doors…Is it beginning to look a lot like Christmas? Not until the holly is hanging from your own front door – and that’s official. Dunelm’s festive collection of wreaths and garlands is everything you’d expect of this seasonal staple – pretty, high quality and with plenty of choice. Just don’t forget a wreath hanger! You probably have some of these craft supplies in your craft/decor stash! I did have two grapevine wreaths, wire, the ribbon for the bow, and the berries.

I’ve been making my own front door wreaths for decades. There is just something so satisfying about making a wreath! Diy Christmas wreaths can often be a bit of a time commitment but this wreath was so easy it took me less than 30 minutes to make. You could even make it an annual tradition to decorate differently each year to suit different Christmas themes. Ideal for spreading Christmas cheer and love this year, this heart-shaped wreath is a must-have this festive season. And make sure your bow is perfectly fluffed and centered on the wreath! WHAT OTHER CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTATION CAN I USE ON A CHRISTMAS WREATH? The key feature of a wreath is that it’s evergreen, as that’s what denotes the circle of life, the immortal spirit, that makes it a seasonal item. On a practical level, it’s also the only type of plant that would still be thriving in the freezing north. So wreaths are usually made of holly, ivy, conifers and other trees and shrubs that are plentiful around this time of year.

Wreaths are a symbol of eternal life. They also symbolized God’s divine perfection. It had no beginning and has no end. With all the sales going on right now this wreath can be very reasonable. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE THIS WREATH?

Imperial Snowy Heart Christmas Wreath – 50cm

The wreath I made for our front door this year is a bit different than the ones that have hung on my door in Christmases past. Think about making this Christmas wreath for your front door or for a gift! MY CHRISTMAS WREATH STORY Although wreaths have been around for thousands of years, the custom of bringing evergreens into a home started sometime in the 16th century. This modern tradition started in Germany when people began to bring live evergreen trees into their homes during Christmas. They would shape the trees to look like a triangle symbolizing the trinity and make wreaths from the excess. I did have some pine needles on hand in case I needed to fill any area of the wreath in. But it was so full I did not need to add any other Christmas greens. Give your home a perfect chilly, winter wonderland look to welcome guests this festive season with this Imperial Snowy Heart Wreath.

For many years I used live greens and made a live evergreen wreath. I found a very easy method for making them. Here is a very old (and the pictures are horrible) post with great instructions for HOW TO MAKE A LIVE EVERGREEN WREATH. I bet you will think, “now why didn’t I think of that”!I just love that I could make something that has a designer look in so little time! LET’S MAKE A CHRISTMAS WREATH I’ve also studied more designer wreaths than I can count to figure out what makes them look so full and over the top beautiful!
