About this deal

Nathanson conceived and developed the idea for the game with the help of his family. [2] The name is derived from his claim that it's the "anagram game that will drive you bananas!" [3] Beginning as a family innovation, Bananagrams was made available to the public in January 2006 at the London Toy Fair. [4] The game is similar to the older Scrabble variant Take Two.

A wide range of games and puzzles are available on the market which have been designed or adapted to be more accessible including playing cards and accessories, puzzles, and board games. The first player to use ALL their letters and call out “BANANAS!” wins! If the game ends in a stalemate or tie, the player with the longest word in their grid becomes TOP BANANA. If you have the same number of letters in your longest words... Play another hand! Bananagrams suggests different ways to mix things up. Including a more relaxed version, a version for smaller tables, and a solo mode. Boards? Where we’re going, we don’t need boards. Or pens, paper, timers – or even turns! In Bananagrams, all you need are the 144 letters that you’ll find in the giant banana-shaped pouch. Tip the letters out onto your table and turn them all face down. Each player takes the same number of letters. One player shouts “split!” and the fun begins! Laying Out Your Letters

Bananagrams is a fast-paced game for 2-6 players where you use letter tiles to create words as fast as possible. Whichever player uses all their tiles first is the winner, so it won’t always be the player with the biggest vocabulary that triumphs. You may find it easier to use a table top peeler. These have a heavy slip-resistant base or are clamped to a table edge and secure the item to be peeled, so that peeling can be carried out one-handed. If you wear glasses it might be easier to use a camera with a slightly larger LED screen (at least 5cm/2in diagonally across the screen) and/or a camera with a diopter adjustment for the viewfinder. In bright weather, the sun's glare makes it hard to see what's on the screen. In this case, it is helpful to be able to have a camera with a viewfinder. Some digital cameras no longer have viewfinders. (Which, 2010). Toy News, December 2006". Bananagrams-intl.com. Archived from the original on 27 December 2009 . Retrieved 19 August 2009.
