About this deal

Tesla states that the rattle noise does not have a safety issue nor effect the performance of the car... well, for the safety issue I cannot comment, but comfort, feel and performance is definitely impacted by this fault! I feel I got a new car!

Chassis ears, wireless or not, are a great addition to a toolbox. Isolating suspension noise is just the beginning. Almost any type of noise can be detected by the transmitters units. Things like wheel bearing noise, transmissions, alternators, power steering pumps, even fuel injectors can be tested. The basic wireless chassis set comes all you need to get started diagnosing chassis and other vehicle noises. The kit includedCOMPATIBILITY - Transmitters and receiver are not compatible with older, STEELMAN 60635 and 97202 models

The LUTIFIX Chassis Ear Automotive Engine Noise Finder Tool is a must-have for any car enthusiast. This tool can detect the abnormal noise of an engine, body, and chassis, alerting you to potential problems before they become major. It features LED indicator lights that change color according to the detected volume: green being minimum, red being maximum.

Currently at 15.5K miles and 2.5 months since, and the rattle has not returned yet nor any other sounds. However, after the change of suspension the steering wheel is not aligned with the wheels... when having the steering wheel level/straight the car slightly turns to the right! I'm in the process of fitting a double cardan prop shaft which should sort the prop shaft angle (standard prop shaft, rule of thumb is good for 7 degrees, double cardan good for 14 degrees). I'm going to have the custom gearbox-propshaft flange tested for run out, and replace the wonkey wheel.
