About this deal

To make this festive treat, Leicestershire's Bond Street Distillery steep their London Dry Gin with traditional Mince Pie fruits and spices, such as sultanas, currants, apple, orange zest, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg. We've tried it ourselves and it really does taste like Mince Pies! I like to sip my Christmas liqueurs from a shot glass. If you prefer, you can serve over ice or add to mixed drinks.

The LIVE virtual tastings are carried out in the last week of the month. Please keep an eye on our socials for confirmed dates! My infused Christmas gin, brimming with all the warm, sweet flavours of the traditional pud, makes a delicious nightcap or digestif.

Step Six – You can now filter your gin. This is not strictly necessary, but it will look prettier and it will be crystal clear and I prefer to do this if I give liqueurs as a gift. If you are experimenting with the recipe write down what you did, it is really annoying to make the perfect infusion and not remember the recipe! Gin liqueurs are made from distilled gin infused with different flavours and sweeteners (like fruit or sugar). So for example, sloe gin is actually a gin liqueur! What is the difference between gin and liqueur? Puddingstone Distillery in Hertfordshire, distillers of the Campfire Gin range, have relaunched this festive treat in a new bigger bottle for 2023! The gin is distilled with botanicals inspired by a classic Hertfordshire Christmas Pudding recipe, before being rested for 2 months in ex-bourbon casks loaded with fresh local cherries and with no added sugar. Making homemade liqueurs is much easier than you might think. This one only needs about three – four days to infuse, so even if you are running out of time to find the perfect present, you may have found it here. Why make Christmas gin

Add all your ingredients to a clean, dry jar or bottle. Seal tightly, give the contents a little shake and leave in a cool, dark place to infuse for a week or two. There's nothing like a festive tipple at Christmas. Whether you opt for Irish Cream or a festive liqueur, there are so many dreamy drinks to choose from.A rich and warming Christmas spiced gin liqueur. Vine fruits, cinnamon, and orange upfront, with a touch of vanilla and caramel sweetness. Mixed Dried Fruit – I’ve used an equal weight of raisins, currants and apricots for some extra fruit flavour. You can use whatever you like most. Just make the weight up with your favourites, but have a good base of about 2/3 of dark vine fruit.

Edinburgh Gin's aromatic, spiced and warming Christmas ginfeatures botanicals including frankincense and myrrh! Flavours of orange, clove, nutmeg and piney juniper come through beautiful and make for the perfect festive Gin & Tonic. Kirkjuvagr Yuletide Christmas Spiced Gin was initially launched exclusively with Craft Gin Club in 2021 and it was so well received that they have launched it for everyone this year. You'll find winter spices of cinnamon, nutmeg and orange peel, as well as frankincence and myrrh! That Boutique-y Gin Co' have created another deliciously bonkers gin for Christmas. As well as traditional gin botanicals they've added everything Christmassy into the still, including a gingerbread house, chestnuts, mince pies, Christmas tree needles, gold glitter, frankincense and myrrh. Could it be anymore Christmassy! No. If you keep everything in proportion, it will work just fine. More homemade liqueurs and infusions

Gin – I use a supermarket own brand. You don’t want one of those fancy botanical versions, as they are expensive and all the subtle flavours that make them expensive will be lost. You don’t want anything rough either. A dry London gin works well. Beautifully presented in a deluxe gift box with gold foiling. Drink it over ice or pour a splash into your favourite bubbles for a sparkling Christmas you and your guests won’t forget. When creating this year’s Christmas drink, they took inspiration from the old tradition of placing half a sixpence into a pudding mix, the whole family would stir the pot at least once and whoever found the sixpence in their serving on Christmas Day would enjoy wealth and prosperity for the year ahead.
