About this deal

The SSL coax is standardised RG6 7mm cable size to fit any F-female connector. Do Virgin TV and broadband use the same cable?

it all sounds like rubbish - its certainly true that they wont use customer installed coax but from there it does not sound right And you should only use wires that you must install yourself if you need to cover a large distance. Then you have no choice except to connect the cables yourself. Gain or ShieldYeah, but I'd already explained that poor quality cable shouldn't be used and mentioned the type of cable that would be suitable. You appeared to be suggesting that something untoward would happen if using this cable as opposed to Virgin's. If you want a simple installation, this is the ideal coaxial cable for 4K TV. The device has two easy-grip caps that attach and release in milliseconds. You will not require any more tools for this. You may be able to find cheaper retailers, but beware of imitators. A lot of the cheaper stuff isn't as advertised and may not be WF100. SSL Coax. SSL coax is extremely versatile and can be used in several applications. If you want to extend the cable from your Virgin Media hub, you will find that SSL coax will do the perfect job. The world will not explode and you'll get the exact same signals from Virgin Media if using quality cable other than the cable Virgon themselves carry.

Most VM connection are HFC which is Hybrid Fibre & Copper ( coax ) from the street cab the to consumer's Hub / TV kit. Do they use it just to be different? Has anyone switched to Virgin Media and found it to be faster than their previous ISP?Replacing the cabling with that, should I be good to go? Or is there still likely to be issues with the two cables running up the chasing to the modular plates, and should I replace that with a multimedia module similar to this that will split internally? (I appreciate that particular version doesn't) Noise, I understand that Virgin will ideally wish to use their own cabling so they are comfortable with the quality but is the spec really that different from others and what are the likely effects from using different cabling e.g not working at all, more interference etc? This cable’s distinctive gold-plated connections make it exceptionally robust. The material is not only corrosion resistant, but it also helps to eliminate interference. This cable is compatible with a wide range of devices. This cable may link cell phone wire extenders, cable internet, satellite TV connections, and DIRECTTV or Dish networks, to name a few things. You are unlikely to test this cable’s compatibility with your device. Durable coaxial cables are becoming increasingly difficult to find. However, if you want a reliable cable, this is it. Mediabridge never offers false promises!

The difference is that BT are having to push out FTTC and more rarely FTTH as they have reached the maximum usable bandwidth that twisted pair cable can provide over long distances (100's meters - a few kilometres). VM's cable is no better than that which I suggested be used. The issue is that not everyone will be using cable that is of the same quality as I advised. If you’re grappling with wireless signal issues in a space spanning around 2500 sq ft, you’re not alone. Many people have experienced the frustration of weak or unstable signals, particularly when managing numerous internet-connected devices. But worry not, as we’ve meticulously curated a list of the top 7 routers designed for 2500 sq ft environments…If wanting to use your own cabling as opposed to having Virgin install their's then you''d be advised to use a high quality coax such as Webro WF100. This isn't strictly speaking the exact same cable as used by Virgin or indeed the exact cable that would be used in association with a cable TV installation, but it is considerably better than the generic RG6 you'd get at your local B&Q and is more than capable of conveying the signal with the minimal of noise and with inherent superior insulation. When we claim that coax cables can transform your life, we’re not exaggerating. Get the best coaxial cable for virgin media and see for yourself the difference in data transfer. Later additions to the VM network use fibre optic to a wall box outside and a media converter which changes the fibre to coax wiring inside to the VM hub. Regrettably, yes. When a coax cable is broken, it weakens the connection; not much, but there will be some issues. Last Words
