About this deal

Got a 2023 F-batch and for me, this is the only modern Creed that is worth the look. First, the scent: On my skin it opens with green mint, verbena and moss, and then slowly it goes into earthy violet and salty ambergris. Performance is good, but you have to slightly overspray it. Apparently it gets better over time, so I'll let it macerate a bit. Great aftershave, has changed my opinion [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be honest, I always deemed Davidoff as a cheaper aftershave that my parents used BUT this has changed my perception. Davidoff Intense is fresh and modern aftershave, and an aftershave that I would be happy to use daily. I've never given Davidoff a chance due to a pre conceived impression but I was wrong, even my 12 year old preenager wants to borrow it. The bottle doesn't look anything special in my opinion and wouldn't inspire me to try it but I suppose never judge a book by it's cover. Make-up and skincare services, BrowBar benefit, gifting and personalisation workshop, Sephora offers you a whole range of services to come and discover in store One of the most iconic fragrances From Pierre Bourdon and Creed. And an important fragrance in perfumery history. However, Pierre Bourdon created a similar fragrance "Cool Water" a few years later. The two fragrances are very similar in scent but hugely different in the price. As we can see, Cool Water Parfum used lemon and pink pepper in the opening. The opening of CW Parfum is citrusy and spicy.

And lastly, Cool Water Parfum used Haitian vetiver in the middle and sandalwood in the end. For fresh fragrances, these types of notes are not considered in general. And it caused a lot of controversies in the fragrance community. GIT opens with fresh, aromatic green notes. I get violet leaf from the opening, with a lovely verbena note following. I have loved L'Occitane Verveine products for years, and the green-edged lemon effect that verbena gives is always a welcome addition to a scent for me. Lemon itself tends to be a difficult note for me, often astringent/cleaning-product-like/candied, so I find verbena to be a superior alternative. Here, it marries beautifully with the green violet. Smells nothing like the original Cool Water. It has more of a cool, minty, airy vanilla, similar to Versace Eros mostly, a possible a little like Le Male. It's more subtle and wearable than both, so if you want a less intense (despite the name), work-appropriate and possibly more refined version of Eros, this could be a good find. I love this, I will always love this but something changed somewhere along the line. It no longer gets the attention it once provoked out of people. It no longer gives that moment of nirvana. The opening flourish that greeted the nose like a fanfare of trumpets from heaven itself is gone.I gavr away most of my Creed fragrances to friends and kept Royal Oud (just because i like the scent despite the mediocre performance). Let me give you the truth about GIT, Cool Water and all the other fragrances in that category. Yes, the ultimate truth so listen up: It does have similarities with Davidoff Cool water ( Pierre Bourdon also created it), but the quality of the scent is better, Cool water is a bit synthetic and has the aquatic vibe, unlike the GIT.

Love It! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fragrance is very refreshing, Not too sweet and not too light. In my opinion, Cool Water Intense is better for everyday use. And it’s more versatile than Cool Water and Cool Water Parfum. Value For Money After 4 hours, you get to the mid-, where you start to get a beautiful combination of sandalwood, violet leaf, and ambergris, that is just gorgeous. Now, here is where it starts to smell similar to davidoff cool water. I would say with 60% similarity. For sure, most noses will be able tell the difference quite easily due to the difference in the formula and the quality of the ingredients. Cool Water Intense used three notes only, and the outcome is impressive. Cool Water intense is a simple fragrance with a touch of amber. There’s nothing to hate about this fragrance. It didn’t use any heavy notes. On the other hand, Cool Water Intense used green mandarin orange in the opening. The opening of CW intense is citrusy. The initial blast of citruses is fantastic, and it gives an instant freshness. The “notes” (iris, verbena etc) are the same, but there is more clarity, depth, nuance, dynamics, and projection in the GIT. It is obviously a higher quality, and the notes resonate together in harmonic bliss. The CW version is unmoving and linear, while GIT will have you escape to another dimension; especially in the opening. So, for compliments, any of these scents will work. But if we compare, Cool Water is the clear winner here. Versatility Undoubtedly, Davidoff Cool Water is one of the most Incredible colognes on the market. Versace Eros was released in 1988, and the nose behind this fragrance was Pierre Bourdon. After approximately 30 minutes, the top note gracefully transitions to reveal the more delicate floral accents of violet and iris. The dry down, however, is the true highlight of this fragrance – a harmonious blend of musky and woody notes, courtesy of the ambergris and sandalwood. This captivating combination along with the heart notes captures the essence of rolling hills, crisp spring air, and the invigorating freshness of a gentle breeze. The combination of sandalwood, violet leaf, and citrus note is very common and very successful in fougere masculine fragrances and repeated again and again in many fragrances. It's classic. A good signature scent.

Don’t worry! After testing these colognes on myself, I have rounded out their similarities and differences to help you make an informed decision. On the other hand, Cool Water Intense starts with a citrusy opening, and soon it becomes fruitier and lasts for an entire day. The projection level of Cool Water Intense is fantastic. It’ll always try to recreate your mood. My favorite fragrance of all time, and the only one that has (so far) survived the continual Creed degradation (looking at you, Aventus). This is the first fragrance I have smelled that really reminds me of a barbershop, more exactly the water in the spray bottle that barbers use to dampen your hair and touches of the barbicide disinfectant. If I had to compare it with a more natural smell, I would say it smells like you just cut wet grass but also managed to mow down some violet flowers in the process. It has a very dewy and ozonic/airy character. So, If you’re looking to add a signature fresh cologne to your collection, Cool Water could be the one. Our Final Verdict now to PDM and Initio. Yes „sisters“ if you can call it that, if the CEO (dad of demy rawlings boyfriend, reason why she adverts the fragrances in any given opportunity) is literally the same dude who works with arabian clone house perfumers who also use mostly cheap synthetic ingredients. Also PDM is know for literally ripping off other successfull niche frags or designers and „reinventing“ them as niche fragrances with overly high prices. I have smelled a lot of PDMs (and yes they perform great and smell pleasant) but i gott say that Percival is indeed an expensive fierce, layton is indeed an expensive boss bottled, herod is indeed very close to tom fords TV and so on. Creed hasnt cloned a single fragrance except for revenge reasons (original santal for explorer vs montblanc), in actuality it’s the other way around. Creed is the brand that’s cloned by literally everyone, thousands of aventus copies by even big niche houses (tiziana terenzi orion, nishane hacivat, montblanc explorer and way more…) GIT, SMW, Millesime Imperial all fragrances copied to death and despite all the copies, creed managed to reign and it’s for one simple reason, THE SMELL, which is what fragrance is actually about. They can copy but they will never match the quality of a true creed.
