Due to having Oily skin I need to use BHA toners at least twice a week. I've tried so many from cult favourite Paula's choice BHA to Glow Recipes BHA toner and sadly this one doesn't compare to those two. This is definitely a more gentle BHA and perfect for those starting to use a BHA exfoliator. I am a little bit biased when it comes to comparing the two BHAs, simply because Paula’s Choice product gave me overnight results, which I never thought was possible before trying it out.
It is important to be careful around the eyes and mouth. You can also pump a few drops onto a cotton pad instead of applying the product directly onto the face. Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting BHA Liquid Exfoliant has no added fragrance to it, however, it comes with a slight scent. It’s not horrible but there is a slight “laboratory” type of smell to it. Performance I’ve seen pretty decent results with it and have gone through many bottles already, so I will definitely be repurchasing! You can also use Paula’s Choice directly on the face and eliminate the cotton pad.
