A dark, tragic love story that encompasses every aspect of human desires and ambitions. It’s disturbing not in its imagery but in its sadness, pure naked sadness. The sheer humanity of the film is something that floors viewers every time, and Lynch’s hypnotic powers seduce you into his world of lust, obsessions, desires, love, and nightmares that turn out to be a gateway into your own self.
