Bigger Than Life: The Story of Elvis (HD, 23 Mins.) - The main cast and crew discuss making this unorthodox biopic of Elvis with all of its amazement and hardships. In terms of video quality, this comes from a digital 4.5K and 6.5K source and then received a 4K master. The 4K presentation is downright stunning all throughout and really has a lot of “pop” to it. It also features all three of the current high dynamic range types: HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. It’s on a BD-100 and that was a wise choice for a film with a runtime of 2 hours and 39 minutes, as it never misses a beat. This looks quite wonderful in 4K here on 4K UHD Blu-ray.

Dialogue, starting with narration, is delivered distinctly from the center channel and mixed perfectly balanced, with zero need for any volume adjustments to be made throughout. Sound effects get mixed into the front and rear channels, not just the height channels (again, as mentioned) and it creates one massive audio experience here. Again, fitting for the person the film is about. Fit for a King: The Style of ELVIS“ (8 minutes, 2 seconds – HD) features behind-the-scenes footage, on-set footage, and interviews with the following people: Catherine Martin (costume designer, production designer, producer), Austin Butler (Elvis), Olivia DeJonge (Priscilla), and Baz Luhrman (director, producer, writer). Director Baz Luhrmann's Elvis is almost exactly half of a great movie; Presley's story has always been a fascinating one, and the leadspecific appearance. Cinematographer Mandy Walker reportedly shot the entire film using a combination of ARRI ALEXA 65, LF, and Panaflex System insert, and a Digital Copy redemption code. Bonus features can all be found on the Blu-ray only, although the "Musical Moments" song

Included on the blu-ray disc is a handful of bonus items, including a Musical Moments piece which features all the songs and medleys from the film, all in one place. Push play and turn it up with "play all" option! As expected, the 4K's transfer advances upon the already-great Blu-ray in meaningful ways; not only is this a true 2160p source, but the HDR Equipped with a default Dolby Atmos mix on both the 4K and Blu-ray (which, as always, automatically folds down to a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 core if you

The film begins with an aging and decrepit Parker in the hospital going on and on about how wrong people are to blame him for Elvis’s death. After all, he’s the guy who discovered the greatest carnival show on Earth. He asserts, “without me, there would be no Elvis Presley.” While that’s probably true, we can’t help but wonder what Elvis might have become had the Colonel been a bit more hands off. We get a pretty good idea as the story plays out. Director Baz Luhrmann, who's been coasting on the strength of Moulin Rouge! for over 20 years and whose last project was 2013's abysmal The Great Gatsby, turns his peculiar gaze on The King Lastly, you get over almost an hour of extras here on the Blu-ray Disc. They’re all very informative and worthwhile and I totally suggest them. However, for a film this large about an artist this significant it feels like they should maybe have included more historical footage or performances by the real Elvis Presley. But you can find all of those on DVDs and Blu-rays such as the must-see 1970 music documentary/concert film that Elvis did for MGM called “That’s the Way It Is”— which this film features plenty of recreated material and even audience footage blended in. For the week of September 12th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release Elvis (2022) on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Lightyear on Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Where the Crawdads Sing on Blu-ray from Sony Pictures ... Luhrmann has never bowed down to Hollywood executives to compromise his stunning vision in telling stories everyone knows by heart, whether it be his own version of Romeo + Juliet, a take on Moulin Rogue!, or a highly valued stylized concept of The Great Gatsby. Luhrmann knows how to set a film on fire with spectacular effects that can fully immerse his audience inside a live stage play with all the hot lights, music, and choreography to keep everyone's toes tapping. The same goes for hisElvispicture, however, Luhrmann takes an unconventional approach once again to tell this tragic tale of Elvis's life and career. With an out-of-the-world performance from Butler and a weird, yet underwhelming role for Tom Hanks, the pacing and the film's length hinder it from being completely enjoyable. But kudos to Luhrmann for doing something creative and original with this biopic that nobody saw coming - telling the hero's story from the villain's eye line. For more about Elvis and the Elvis Blu-ray release, see Elvis Blu-ray Review published by Randy Miller III on September 11, 2022 where this Blu-ray release scored 2.5 out of 5. unfortunate, since large portions of the story are told from his perspective -- that it almost derails the entire production when he's seen or Paramount Paramount's Senior Vice President of Asset Management (Andrea Kalas) about the the restoration of King Creole and Blue Hawaii: On Spiffying Up Elvis Presley's Blue Hawaii For The 21st Century : moments without necessarily feeling overcooked, and regularly reaches into the rear and Atmos-exclusive height channels at opportune moments.
