I received a copy of The No-Fuss Cookbook from NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in return for my honest review. Regular ice cream will obviously be more.

Fuss Family Cookbook: Simple Recipes for Everyday Life The No-Fuss Family Cookbook: Simple Recipes for Everyday Life

The book has a simple layout and there are quite a few images to accompany the recipes. Ryan takes traditional family meals and turns them up a notch with flavour and healthy alternatives. There are also lots of notes included to give readers tips on how to achieve the best results. I love cookbooks... Always have and always will. But I also like to see some humor in it, to feel like my friend wrote it etc....Recipes include Banana Orange Breakfast Muffins, Creamy Chipotle Prawn Pasta, Sesame-crusted Cod Tacos, Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake Bars, Carrot Cake Muffins and many more delicious meals! Having transformed the way we cook with books like 15 Minute Meals and 5 Ingredients, Jamie now turns his attention to the ever-popular one-pan method, applying the same principles of ease, accessibility, and convenience to this naturally fuss-free style of cooking. One presents simple, budget-friendly solutions to everyday cooking conundrums with over 100 recipes, all designed to be cooked in one pot, pan, or tray. To make things even more straightforward, each recipe involves no more than eight ingredients, meaning you’ll be able to whip up flavoursome meals without an exhaustingly long shopping list. Upgrade basic crumpets to a more exciting breakfast! These are great to serve up to children who don’t usually eat eggs. All in all, very well written, beautifully presented food, made from family friendly ingredients which are easily sourced and taste good.

Dip six of the crumpet halves into the egg mixture, first bottom side down then turn them over and leave them to soak up the mixture for 30 seconds. I’ve never heard of Ryan Scott but apparently he’s a chef with a good reputation. I was expecting more interesting dishes but this book is boring and too long, none of the dishes were inspiring and the family photos just naff. There are far better cookery books out there and I wouldn’t bother with another of his books. Special thanks to NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*** This book was received as an ARC from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.STORING: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Store croutons at room temperature (they will go soft if left in the salad). I choose this book for a few different reasons. The first reason is because of the title. I have a toddler so the idea of no fuss family meals sounded great to me. The second reason is because I recognized the author. Add the gnocchi, mix well and continue to simmer on low for another 7–8 minutes until the gnocchi is cooked through. Directions are easy to follow and start with a paragraph or two about why they developed the recipe.

While I really enjoyed this cookbook and found it to be quite useful, the title might be very misleading to some. The idea of “no-fuss” implies that there are few steps and fast results. These recipes aren’t the fussiest ones that I have come across, but they aren’t as straightforward as I was expecting. Having to toast coconut and slice a banana to decorate the top for a banana bread recipe adds a little more time to my schedule, for sure. Would I buy or recommend? Oh yea! This cookbook has some mouth watering recipes. I have bookmarked quite a few! The fare inside is mostly American food but done a little more eloquently by a chef. Anyone who loves food and cooking will love this cookbook! I aim to make quite a few of these recipes! Five stars for No Fuss! What did I like? Gorgeous food pictures anyone? I’m happy to report a ton of these recipes follow a low salt diet. There is also a ton of side notes for those that like a variation in the meals offered. The recipe itself comes with a little side story and some personalization. I bookmarked a ton of recipes to try, including the ex boyfriends goulash.

Thank you to @netgalley, publisher and the author for gifting me this free ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. Save time and money by cooking once for the whole family - no more separate meals for you and your kids! All the delicious flavours of a Caesar Salad bulked out with pasta for a filling, family-friendly lunch. I absolutely was waiting for this book and I am a huge fan of Top Chef and contestants like Ryan Scott were definitely the most memorable and I remember his out of the box dishes he presented and how talented he is. I remember him saying that in his parent's restaurant, his father fired two cooks in the first week because he outcooked them at 11 years old. So I expected nothing but the best in this cookbook and now he is a family man, I was blown away at how easy he made these recipes and how fun they are to do with children (his daughter Olive is adorable). I can't wait to try the PB&J Pancakes, The no knead English Muffins and the buttermilk biscuits with almost no sugar jam. I know this will be a hit with our Cooking Demo and I can't wait to share it with our library. community. Affogato & Kiddies’ Affogato from The Fuss Free Cookbook by Ciara Attwell (Lagom) Affogato & Kiddies’ Affogato Wonderful colour pictures of the food (and the authors very cute daughter). Easy to follow instructions. I also loved the authors notes for each recipe. Like which buns to buy. Freezing instructions and prepping ahead.I really enjoy this book. So far I have made the loaded applesauce muffins and they taste soooo good (almost like little carrot cakes as advertised).
