We found the battery would last for a full day of typical usage, but you may struggle to make it to the end of the day if you’re pushing your phone harder.

We like the design of the Google Pixel 6 Pro, and you’ll get a good idea of whether or not you’re going to like it from the photos you can see above alone. Camera software is a big element of the Google Pixel 6 Pro. Within the standard camera app you’ll find Night Sigh, Portrait, Panorama, Camera (the standard mode), and Video modes, plus some interesting additional options such as Motion, Photo Sphere and Lens. There's a pretty big difference in price between these three models, with the Pixel 6a coming in at an affordable price. It is a smaller device and does make some compromises on what it offers, especially in the display and camera as we detail below. Benchmarking isn’t necessarily reflective of real-world use though, and we found the phone was capable of running all the apps and games we wanted it to. The whole experience was smooth, and it always felt like the phone had enough grunt behind it.Google's smartphones are built around the company's camera technology, and on paper the camera setup in the Pixel 6 Pro looks like the best from the company yet, with a 50MP wide camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP telephoto shooter. We also tested the phone on Verizon's nationwide 5G network in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and its surrounding suburbs. Speeds averaged 228.6Mbps down and 64.2Mbps up.

The Pixel 6 Pro has a Quad HD+ resolution at 3120 x 1440 pixels, offering a pixel density of 512ppi, and there is a variable refresh rate between 10Hz and 120Hz.The good news is that the company has created another powerful camera setup here, and we’ve found it to be far more versatile than on previous Pixel phones, with more options to play around with. The Pixel 6 Pro’s camera setup is another highlight; it’s a versatile array that enables you to capture a wide variety of subjects in a few different ways.. The main camera’s sensor is a step up from what we’ve seen from Google before, and new software upgrades only heighten the experience. Both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have laser detect autofocus, and optical and electrical image stabilisation, while the Pixel 6a has standard autofocus with dual-pixel phase detection, though it too has OIS and EIS. The primary and ultra-wide lenses capture solid image in any light. Our daylight test photos have crisp foregrounds and excellent depth of field. We noticed some loss of fine detail in photos with direct light and, overall, the metering system leans toward slight underexposure. There's a big difference here in telephoto. The Pixel 6 offers up to 7x Super Res Zoom (which is digital) from the main camera, but the Pro offers 4x optical and then up to 20x Super Res Zoom, meaning the Pro is much more versatile in offering those long-range shots.
