About this deal

Please note that the below is a list of steps for ‘Umrah. This article is Part One of the Hajj guide, which begins just before your arrival in Makkah. Please read Part Two for details on the second stage of Hajj, beginning on 8th Dhul Hijjah in Mina. There are no days that are greater before Allah or in which good deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days, so recite a great deal of Tahleel (saying of la illaaha illa Allah), Takbeer (saying of Allahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (Alhamdullilah) during them.” Lā ilāha illallāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah(u), lahu l-mulku wa lahu l-ḥamdu yuḥyī wa yumīt(u), wa huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr.

Note: If you are arriving in the Jeddah airport and are proceeding directly to Makkah to perform Umrah, the airplane will pass the Meeqat before you land. Therefore, you must complete steps 2-6 before the airplane lands. The pilot usually announces it over the speaker when he reaches the Meeqat Upon reaching the plains of Mount ‘Arafah, pilgrims observe shortened Dhuhr and Asr prayers combined (two rakat instead of four). However, according to Abu Hanifa, the combining of Dhur and Asr is only valid if one prays behind the Imam in the Masjid. Therefore if one was to pray in the tent, then they should not combine both salah. The day of ‘Arafah is one of the most important days for Muslims across the world, as Allah (SWT) refers to the Day of ‘Arafah in Surah al-Maidah as the Day on which He perfected His religion, completed His favours upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and approved Islam as a way of life! In the Islamic tradition, Muslims operate within the lunar calendar (as opposed to the Gregorian calendar), and Hajj takes place each year between the 8th to the 12th of Dhul Hijjah. However, the corresponding Gregorian dates differ year to year as the lunar calendar appears to shift forward approximately 11-12 days.Jazak Allah Khair for this very thorough and easy to follow guide on performing umrah. I was looking into buying a guide but wasnt sure which to get, but problem solved. This guide is simple and very comprehensive and includes points where i should do dua and read durud sharif on our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . May Allah swt bless you immensely for your efforts. If you are going from Madinah, the Meeqat is a place called Dhul-Hulayfah; a large Masjid on the outskirts of Madinah

Proceed in the same manner until you have completed seven circuits. Performing Istilam at the start of Tawaf and at the end is a highly emphasised Sunnah, and performing Istilam on the other six occasions is desirable.Specifying a Dua would take the moment away, because with specific Duas, one will merely be repeating words, whereas this occasion is for any Dua and for remembering one’s Lord with humility and sincerity. After 20% of the way you’ll see green lights above. Begin jogging until you reach the other set of green lights Tip: Use disposable blades to shave each other’s head within your group. If that’s not possible, you’ll notice a number of barbers in Mina ready to shave your head for a price. Ensure that the barbers use new blades to avoid infection. In the name of Allah, Allah is the greatest. O Allah, out of faith in You, conviction in Your book, in fulfilment of Your covenant and in emulation of Your Prophet’s Sunnah ﷺ.

This handy and comprehensive Hajj guide will help you understand the different aspects of the holy pilgrimage, from its origin, to how to perform Hajj. The Story Of Hajj Once you arrive at the holy Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, with these preparations in mind, you’re ready to start the biggest spiritual journey of your life! And when you are safe, then, whoever avails the advantage of the ‘Umrah along with the Hajj shall make an offering of whatever animal is available. However, any one who finds none shall fast for three days during Hajj, and for seven days when you return; thus they are ten in all. This is for him whose family folk are not residents of Al-Masjid-ul-Harām.”Kissing – If you reach the Hajar al-Aswad, place your hands on it, put your face between your hands, say “bismi llāhi wallāhu akbar (بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَاللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ)” and kiss it lightly. Some scholars have said it is preferable to kiss it three times if you have the chance. Once Sa’i is complete, men will have their hair clipped or shaved, whilst a woman clips her hair to the length of her fingertip. This marks the completion of your umrah, allowing you to leave Ihram, until the 8 th of Dhul Hijjah. How do you end Ihram? For men, this means trimming or shaving the hair on their head and changing from Ihram clothes to normal clothes. For women, this means trimming their hair by a fingertip. Then the state of Ihram is ended and the rules of Ihram are lifted.

The Hajj is a test of patience and temperament – a spiritual, emotional, and physical challenge. However, it offers Muslims the opportunity to refresh our spiritual selves, to cleanse us of our sins and to draw closer to Allah (SWT).Do Dhikr, make Dua and send Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ in abundance here. Make the most of this opportunity before you begin your Tawaf, especially if it’s the first time you’ve set eyes on the Kaaba. Tawaf al-Umrah By the instruction of Allah (SWT), Ibrahim (AS) was to leave Hajar and Isma’il (AS) in the ancient desert of Makkah. The little food and water that they had soon ran out, and Isma’il (AS), an infant at the time, was crying of thirst. Hajar, desperately in search of water, ran between the nearby hills of Safa and Marwah in the hope of spotting someone who may be able to help.
