So, what is it like visiting the only Harry Potter Butterbeer Bar in London?! Well, it’s just as magical as you would expect for an official Warner Brothers Studios attraction.GeekyZone is a UK retailer based in Leicestershire. All of our items are shipped from our showroom location. My personal favourite tables were the Butterbeer barrel booths which were so cosy. But, they also had one that looked like a copper brewing tank with some bubbling Butterbeer tubes in the middle which was pretty epic. Gryffindor is one of the four houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, with students possessing courage, chivalry, and determination, usually being sorted into this house. The emblematic animal is a lion, which can be seen within the crest on the sides of this beautifully crafted piece, along with the house colours of red and gold. This vaguely historical atmosphere makes it feel more natural for kids to be drinking “underage.” Up until the 19th century, it was normal for everyone—including young children—to drink “small beer” all day, because water was unsafe. And while Butterbeer is obviously about being drunk for pleasure instead of practicality, it falls into a similar category. It’s weak enough that many readers don’t even consider that it might be alcoholic.

With Caroline being a huge Harry Potter fan we saved up for a special trip to Florida in March 2016 where, as well as nature trails, manatee trips and dolphin spotting, we spent a couple of frenetic days at Universal Studios.
